Real talk though, that shit hurts. A lot. I almost missed shifts just watching the clock wind down so I could take them off.

Yeah, I mean I mostly have it figured out and can handle it by lacing the boot differently, but the first couple weeks when I didn't know what I was doing it hurt so fucking bad to do anything where my ankle leaned forward into the tongue/laces. So I ask the resident 3h canadian (Joel) if he has any advice and he says he never liked hockey. gggggggggggg

Glue a strip of foam down the inside of your tongue, or i think they've come out with socks with like gel pads on the tops of your feet to help prevent it.

Hey I like hockey, it's just that all winter sports (and the accompanying balance required) are beyond me. Cleats never tried to run away on me, so I stuck with those.

What's your playing experience???

I still have most of my goalie gear.

Also Dan I talked to a couple people and the current season ends late august. But they have a clinic and pickup on either Mondays or Fridays.

Yeah their clinic is saturday evening at 6:15, I haven't been yet... been going out to simi with a guy I work with for their sunday clinics. I'm not all gungho to play pickup but if anyone wants to go, I will. I kind of suck at skating still so I don't want to be the retard out there with 15 other people who are decent ;o

Yeah the simi rink is nice, the guy running the league is a close personal friend.

Once I take stock of all my gear and get new stuff I'd be up for it. Hit me up on steam if u see me on.
