Does Sturmbot mess with game files?

So I installed Sturmbot the other day on my local machine to mess around on a local game with. I saw in the installer instructions that it replaces your userconfig.cfg. I copied mine elsewhere, but it got me thinking: Does it mess with any other game files so that it might register as a cheat? I want to know if I should uninstall it prior to playing in the summer cup, or if it's fine to leave it installed. After an extremely cursory Google search, I came up with nothing, so I'm laying it before the greater dod community.

tl;dr: I obviously cheat and am setting up the latest iteration of the "Vac'ed due to third person" excuse.

Don't pretend like you didn't give them to me. The truth has finally come out as to why Todo and crawtona were the TPG superstars of the season.

I don't think it does, but if you are truly worried about it just buy another Day of Defeat for like $5 on a new account.

I'd probably just re-install my current version before actually buying another copy, but I'm not overly worried about it. I had installed it on a previous computer several years ago when I didn't have an internet connection and didn't uninstall it when I came back, as far as I remember, and didn't have any problems. I'm guessing it will be fine, but if no one has a definitive answer, I'll just run the uninstaller before the match.
