Movies that opened your eyes

Came to mind the other day, what DoD movies totally blew your mind when you saw them, and made you go "Welp, didn't know that was even possible". Forget era/opponent -- what made you go wow?

1. An1maL #1. The extreme pace and rampage style kill streaks in this movie made it really special. In a way, it was sorta scary.

2. Hn Final Chapter. Maybe the classic DoD frag movie. Just so dominant. I haven't watched it in a few years now, but in my memory it doesn't even seem real.

Clone Rizzo's Dreams pretty much made me aware that edited footage of other people playing games could be entertaining to watch. Shots like the one through the back of Donner midhouse pretty much changed the way I thought about DoD.

Ackpth 4 is my favourite DoD movie, and when I saw it I was blown away by how cool I thought it was and how crazy the frags were. Ackpth 5 later did the same thing to a lesser degree.

I used to watch Hudson 4 a lot. I guess there was probably something I like about that.

Watching Highball in the CPL Finals is pretty much the entirety of my knowledge on how to play Anzio. Marshall's shot out of Allied loft made me rewind a few times.

Begrip (unplugged) vs Zero Point invite finals Anzio movie. Difficult to realize that all clips from this video came from just one match. Lot of sick action there. This movie made abandon CS scrims and pub DoD a little. Btw, Scott H movies are awesome too. Smart play > Streaks from ppl with custom sprites, models and scripts.

I didn't want to mention scorch's movie because he's a really good friend of mine, but upon typing that I realized I mentioned dorito's movie and he's a friend of mine too. Either way, I'm glad people appreciate the play from players who are just so much better than everyone that they shove it in their face in a non-flashy style. I think that's what truly shows how good a player is, especially at this game. The other movies were pretty impressive too, but not on that level that I appreciate as being "the best."

There are plenty of movies out there that have better frags, but I just remember thinking to myself "how does he do that?" "how does he do THAT?" and then showing the video to all of my e-friends saying "HOW DOES HE DO THAT?" and then brad murdock was like "i could do that" and i was like "PSSSHHHHH SURE you can pistol a guy all the way from rope house window as he's at the sandbags. SUURREEEE"

I love that movie because of the music, but maxpth gets the most ridiculous "interp" shots in that thing. Like, it's not even interp. He's just not ever even aiming at someone and gets the kill, or he shoots before flicking onto the guy and getting the kill. Weirdest shit I've ever seen.
