Those are scrims/12 mans, matches are on Sunday nights. FURY vent seems to be the most active 12 manning vent right now.

Well, it's because a pug and a 12 man are different.
2 pugs can play each other and it's still not a 12 man.

Ah, well good luck then. NihilisT always had a good eye for talent so this dude will probably be a decent sleeper pickup.

I'm sure someone has already hooked you up with the Ventrilo information, but if not here you go.
FURY
furyogc.vent.nfoservers.com
9090
XM #checkmate
xmvc.vent.nfoservers.com
12560
allmyfriends
These are pretty much the only two Ventrilo's that host 12mans.

Nope, I was a good pal of some of the players, and played a few different games frequently with ScreaM, snipeZ, and teamownerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I also got invited to start the team with ep0xy when he left StaBr, but stuck with STR instead. I felt I'd recognize most of the names from that team, and didn't recognize huntrix, but I never paid attention to any divisions outside DoD.

Isn't a pug a "pick up game" ? Meaning a 12man is a pug?

I understand how people use the the pug/12man identifiers now, but In the olden days (pre-retail) pug meant what 12man means now.
You also have to remember that this was before steam/ventrilo, so it was less common for "pug teams" to form.
So "pugs" were just announced in #1911 and the first 12 people who joined the server played. As in, a 12 man.

I always thought the act of no scoping/picking teams made a 12 man different than just simply forming a pug.

i agree with sears, even though i am totally guilty of using the terms the way everyone else does. but when you use the term in regards to basketball pick up games, you call the entire game as a whole a pick up game or a "pug". you don't have 1 "pug" playing 5 on 5 basketball with another "pug" you just have a game of 5v5 that is called a pick up game.
