Fix my DoD

Played DoD in the match last night just fine, but then I try to load DoD and this is what happens:
That is my
whole screen. I cannot see anything else. As you can see, it is impossible for me to access the video options to change the video settings in attempts to fix this issue. Let's review the things I have done:
1) Messed with the launch options in attempts to change the resolution, full screen/windowed, and opening in OpenGL vs. the other settings (-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -width 1200 -height 684 -nofbo -gl -full)
2) Reinstalled DoD.
3) Reinstalled Steam.
4) Set computer back to an earlier checkpoint.
Now earlier Andy Sheen had me delete the Half Life folder and delete the ClientRegistry.blob file, or whatever that is. That worked briefly, then the settings reverted back when I loaded DoD again.
Beginning to think the solution is either remarkably simple, or something stupidly complex. Thoughts?

cleandod planted a chip in your head. said chip is transmitting false visuals and thoughts to Brazilians, who are in turn warping time and space just enough that the grass outside your house is getting patchy.
good luck

Have you tried verifying your game files by going to library - dod - properties - verify Game cache or something. Also there is some new launch option command that ppl use now after the update. It escapes me tho.

Did the first thing.
I might be making progress. Just kind of started randomly deleting shit in my Steam folder and now when I run it in a window, I can see more than before.
PROGRESS, GENTLEMEN.

Kirk.... I don't know if this will help or not but in your dod folder look for custom.hpk file and delete it. Some dude from the old clan skull told me about this years ago and said it would make things run smoother. When you load dod back up it will auto create the file again.
Hope that helps.

Kirk, try reinstall Windows, and if that doesn't work, try buying a new computer. If that doesn't work, come to my house and you can play at my house

Seems like the same problem i had.
If you're using windows vista/7/8 right click on desktop>personalization>bottom left side, click Display. And there you see "change the size of all items", try making it smaller. When i increased the size, i did get the same problem, or a simillar.

So I deleted a bunch of stuff, opened in windowed mode, and got it to work. Before when I opened in windowed mode, it did not help. This time, however, I was able to see more. So...I don't know if deleting random files worked, but...something happened.
PRETTY AWESOME WAY TO SPEND MY EVENING LET ME TELL YOU.

I take a very scientific approach.
1) Did changing launch options work? Nope.
2) Did reinstalling DoD work? Nope.
3) Did deleting the entire dod folder work? Nope.
4) Did deleting the entire Half Life folder work? Nope.
5) Did deleting all of Steam work? Nope.
6) Did setting the computer back to an earlier checkpoint work? Nope.
Better start deleting some shit~
