I just started playing this game even though I've owned it for about a year or two. I played a lot of cod2 and cod4, a bit of cs1.6 for about a year. I really like this game, and want to play competitively. Just wanted to ask around and see if it's "possible" to get into a game that's this far into it's lifespan. I honestly don't know shit about this game lol. I just get a bolt and fuck people up in pubs because I have decent aim from playing fps since I was young.

I saw there was a lan in vegas next year on esl. I play a lot of cod4 competitively, but there is nothing for that game except like four NA teams and pugs every now and then. Figured this game was semi-active, so I thought I would spend my time playing a game that people actually stuck to instead of just spamming shit like "game is dead". I don't actually think I will attend or even get good in a fucking year lol, but I like fps games.

Game is pretty dead, but it's still fun to play. A lot of people will tell you otherwise, but they're mostly looking for excuses as to why they're washed up. I say it all the time.

I'd suggest looking for an open team in the recruiting section, or even a main team that's really desperate for players if you've played other games competitively. Otherwise, join the 12man group on Steam, or dig up the vent infos for Fury or xm. I'd get them, but I feel like I've already been too helpful. glhf

Yeah as was mentioned, best thing to do would be to start playing 12mans (pug vs. pug) matches to get your name out there. There are usually 10+ per day that just spontaneously happen on the following vents

The other two things are to join the steam groups for 12 mans (people usually spam a message when they are about to start), and to join a low level team and start playing organized matches

That's fucking sick haha. I never played with him because I was med+ when that game was alive lol. That dude was a monster at cod2&cod4 tho.
