It baffles me why hollywood has run out ideas, even after the tenth rehashing of each comic book character they're scraping the barrel with epic CGI reenactments of old stories like "Jack and the beanstalk" and "Noah's ark". Dafuq

I think it's a combination of technology and the ability to do stuff they weren't able to in the past...Which also causes them to be like "hey we have the tech to go back and properly re-make this movie" - Which is much easiar then finding a new script or hiring a writer to create an original one.

FOX and Sony are the ones ruining comicbook movies because they turn out shit and reboot it in the same decade...Marvel studios not so much. They're on a huge roll right now.

Fuck CGI. Just seeing it in a movie ruins it for me. I don't care if they use it, but it shouldn't be noticeable as shit.
