TPG is proud to announce the release of version 1.0 of the Anti-Cheat Client! All players must use the Anti-Cheat Client for ALL TPG Matches or be suspended for failing to use the client.

Rule 5 has been added to the rules list and is as follows:

Code: Select all

§5 Client Information

* §5.1 Failure to use the Client

Failure to use TPG's Anti-Cheat Client:
First offense: 6 Months.
Second Offense: 1 Year.
Third Offense: 3 Years.
Fourth Offense: 30 Years.

*If TPG discovers that a player did not use TPG's Anti-Cheat Client, weeks after the match, the player is still subject to being suspended from the date of discovery. 
**If TPG fails to recognize a player not using TPG's Anti-Cheat Client for a match by the time the season has completed (after playoff matches have completed), TPG will not pursue the suspension but will warn the player and will watch the player closely the following season.

* §5.2 Interfering with the Anti-Cheat Client


Interfering with TPG's Anti-Cheat Client's process of collecting information and or altering TPG's Anti-Cheat Client data will result in a 3 year suspension.
 
** THIS INCLUDES ** Altering your configs in ANY WAY while the client is running! If you desperately need to change something, exit dod, exit the client, then change your files. There are no exceptions to changing ANY of your Configs while the client is running!

I would also like to remind you all of the following:

Using a jump script/recoil script/any script to gain an advantage will result in player receiving a 1 year cheating suspension.
Altering major cvars listed below will result in player receiving a 1 year cheating suspension.
1. cl_bob 0.005
  cl_bobcycle .8
  cl_bobup 0.5
  gl_monolights “0″
  m_pitch “0.022000″
  m_side “0.8″
  m_yaw “0.022″
  s_a3d “0″
Altering other cvars that were not approved by TPG will be handled on a case by case basis.
Binding +attack to mwheelup or mwheeldown to accelerate shooting weapons faster than they are intended to be and/or Binding +duck to mwheelup or mwheeldown will result in player receiving a 3 week suspension.

These rules and lengths will take affect starting today.
*Some rules are already listed and are already in use and just have been "reposted."

Thanks for the hard work in putting this thing together. Hopefully this has a positive impact on the community.

That said and after reading the PDF:

Given our SME's for this thing are very near and dear, I think everyone deserves to know what this thing does at a slightly lower level. I'm not asking to give up the source code, just a little more than c4tch3s t3h h4x0rs

When people ask me that question, the only reply I feel comfortable giving is "Think of what CleanDoD did, but more"

The reason I won't give any details is because it simply makes it 100x harder for those that will try to get around the client. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be players that try to find a way around it, but for them to actually find a way of getting around the client without getting caught will be extremely difficult.

So it is basically along the lines of what CleanDoD did for us but more.

Sometimes for reasons unknown to me, my rate will change if i switch servers (yes everything is read only). Also every rare once in a while if I feel my reg is off, i'll adjust my ex_interp 0.01 to 0.02 or my rates if I start seeing weird choke/loss.

This will get me in trouble?

Not at all. You can

1. change it in your config but have to exit dod and the client and then change it, then restart the client + dod OR
2. do it in console where we can see it.

At this time, ANY changes to the configs while the client is running will be considered cheating. Just be sure to use TPG approved values.

This happens quite a bit, many pub servers are able to force 30K rates on people even if they have read only configs. I shouldn't think changing your rate in game through the console to a TPG accepted value would be considered as a breach of the rules though.

Start the client first, then when you are ready, click start..and dod will start for you.

no. You can change it in console where we can see it. But do NOT tab out to your configs and "change" anything in your configs while the client is running or you will get the boot.

If you absolutely need to change something in your config, exit dod and then client and then change it. Once you are ready, restart the client and dod.

Me too. Dod launches fine but when I try to quit the error pops up.

Edit: Okay, I tried DanJohnson's fix and the error seems to have gone away. Still having trouble with autoexec of my config though. My rate keeps getting reset to 30000.

I am really starting to think you're a really angry person who seems to find pleasure in ridiculing others for the lamest reasons with the lamest insults. It's not entirely your fault, though. It's TPG, and most of us are from parts where English is the dominant language, but it doesn't mean it's restricted to only those who can speak English fluently.

It really bothers me when people start making fun of somebody else just because they can't speak you're language as well as you can.
