I don't know about you guise, but finding scrims/ringers on steam friends is fucking gay. Not to mention I miss all the shit talking that took place after scrims/matches/12mans on irc. Get your asses in here and idle, life was so much better when we had scrimdod.

IRC would be a good thing if this website had IRC embedded like a lot of websites have, that way we don't need to deal with the shitty program and can just use the website to find scrims.

I can look into a webbased mIRC chat client. I know there is a Java IRC applet. Idk how good it is though.

I'm working on the new front-page. When it's released (tbd), it will have a page for both live streaming via justintv and a page/widget to logon to the irc channel.
The front-page right now is just a slightly modified version of the default wordpress theme. Rather than spend my time trying to modify it trying to get it to work for us, I've started from the ground up for something more geared for a "community news" site.
For now, the forums will remain the primary purpose for 1911, the front-page is still just some bastardized extension of the forums.
In the next version, the forums will be downgraded to an extension of the front-page, which will have a lot more to it (dependent on people stepping up and creating worthwhile content).

Who still need to get more people using IRC to find scrims and pugs. I know there aren't many vents and most of you know all of them or have almost everyone on your friends list but just think about how much easier it is to find someone to shoot the shit with, a 12 man, pug or a scrim when using IRC.
