I put in massive time over the (long) weekend as well. I joined the Companions and did all the quests. I won't spoil it for you guys (you will probably google it anyway), but you get something really cool out of doing it. The graphics are ok, but I've been spoiled by Battlefield 3 on ultra settings the past month. The interface is indeed pretty shit, but it was optimized for the console, so go figure. There will be mods released eventually that will fix the interface (once they release the dev kit).
My guy is specialized in archery, sneak, one-handed, light armor, and blacksmithing. I can one shot most normal targets with my bow while sneaking, as well as do 1 hit assassinations on them with daggers. Only problem with going for pure sneak is that my light armor / one-handed don't get leveled as much, so if I'm forced into a melee with the target I take more damage / deal less damage. It definitely adds an element of strategy to the game that I like, though.
