But then sparz hopped on GI's CAL-open roster during that Cevo season to win himself an Open title. I pretty much saw first hand why he had a spot on that team. he made 3 separate lists in this thread actually.

the only one you managed to be included on was the "biggest loser that dod has ever seen list"

lntc - Sniper

Nuker - Rifle
Hn - Rifle
Blythe - Rifle

Nightmare - Heavy
River - Heavy

The sniper was the toughest decision for me, a few amazing players but I always found lntc the hardest to play against.

Blythe obviously the most contentious pick in there but I don't think he cheated. He could always be subbed for Jc/An1mal.

lol, dont you remember the thread where he just came on here and said "hey guys do you remember these dudes?" and he named about 40 "old school" players in a list. it was pathetic.

but then again, we also have frank over here naming gskill's starting 6 as the greatest 6 of all time.

not sure if srs

I'm not really sure. He was like 14 or 15 when he joined GI as a backup. He was always on to scrim and almost always top fragged against pretty good Cal-M/I squads back then. Needless to say it was not long before he was labeled a "known cheater". Trickstuf and Tweak did a lot of internal investigation like recording scrims and what not but I don't think he was ever banned and just left the scene before CEVO.

I like my teammates, what can I say?

Even if they weren't my teammates I'd still pick them simply because they would rape me if I played them.

-Taylor always had that potential to just go off and win you the match single handedly. The dude is just nutty.
-Milo is the most consistent heavy player I ever met playing dod. He makes the calls and deals with whatever situation.
-The few times that I've played with & against jordan, I've literally felt helpless as to how to how anyone kills the man.
-The snipers I've played with the most are scott and chuck. I haven't played with or against any of the considered "top snipers" frequently enough to make the call. The only reason I put chuck over scott is because I just played longer with Chuck.

An honorable mention for sniper also would be Wallu, but I never played him with balanced ping so again I can't make the call.

Its my greatest 6 of all time, If i were to Jason lake 6 players these would be the players.

Its my opinion that milo would play better with jordan as a heavy partner.

Ryan can run around anywhere with any gun that a 3rd can pick up and dump.

Hell, jordan could 3rd and milo and ryan heavy. Your 3rd does not mean worst player. but if you stick someone on heavy they should like their heavy partner for the team to function well.

Like I said , I didn't list anyone I didn't play with, so sorry for not playing with every player in dod but its my entitled opinion lmao.

Jules is super fucking good, but hes quiet sometimes. Its not whether or not he hacks, hes not on my list because he doesn't talk a whole lot, other than that hes a cool dude & player.

From the internet, hes good, and there just hasn't been a lan for him to prove himself.

can't understand why so few of these american teams have kellen...wasn't he hands down best player at cpl 05 when dod was at peak?
I think he had hands down the best frag movie clip at CPL 05. I think the best player at the tournament was deadbeat, while max/dorito/tofuman/bleargh also stuck out as being really good, too. I wouldn't say kellen wasn't very good, but it's hard to say he's a top 6, assuming class limits. I think he falls just outside the top 3 at every class, which just improves his value as a player that much more.

i am wondering the same, but i can also see why people would leave him off. it is hard to place him. i put him as a rifle, although technically he was a heavy for x6. then he rifled for coL. also, team play and dod IQ were not things that he cared about much while he played, which makes him sort of a rogue player at times, so that might be a reason why.

also, i did not mention this, but i didn't include any euro players. besides steve (my [dd] bro who falls into the 3-5th range when it comes to greatest snipers) i did not play a lot with the top euros.

Re: Your greatest starting 6 of all time

by ohhhhbeeee » Tue Aug 12, 2014 1:27 pm

Heavies are generally better with the the rifle because rifling is easier.

based on who I played with (however briefly or few games) steve, toxinator and jaunty would make the list.
based on stuff I watched. dorito (cpl), an1mal (euro cup finals/cb etc.)
But these are only 5 and too many rifles (althought must also have played hvy)

I can also post some euro allstar team but I wouldn't really know what I am talking about as I was never on the receiving end (maybe 1 or 2 games) or ingame with them.

#unplugged!
Jaunty, an1mal, jizz
Zoanth, River
Steve

I believe an1mal prefered the later team where kami was playing and he played hvy. I could be wrong.
But any lineup that he thinks was best is what I pick as greatest 6.

I would mix it with cal players if I could but I just don't know too much about the NA scene. Pity unplugged never went to cpl to play x6, coL etc. Would have been interesting.

Dan is a beast sniper the only sniper I'd pick ahead of him is marshal, but Dan has always been consistently top quality also through all stages of dod and matches that with being one of the best team players too.

I'd put

Me
Animal
Hn/dorito/kellen

Sniper
Marshall/dan

Heavies
Cableguy
Ninjuh/shiftypowers/max

i would say you have to either have dan or max on the team. i put max in there because i picked henry to snipe. if i picked dan to snipe, i might have stuck ninjuh in there to heavy with cableguy.

You need that 1 in-game leader who will make sure everyone is always in the right spots. both max and dan are that guy.
