Remember bro: your body doesn't see brown rice, lean chicken, or olive oil. It'll see glucose, amino acids, and triglycerides. In terms of body composition, it doesn't give two shits if the glucose comes from brown rice or whether it comes from ice cream. Period. Anyone who thinks otherwise ought to realize that your body only sees molecular structures, and once glucose is metabolized and absorbed in its most pure form (the final fate of ALL non-fructose carbs), it is all absorbed/burned the same: your body doesn't differentiate between the glucose in ice cream from the glucose in brown rice. The differences between brown rice and ice cream are: time of degradation and absorption (simple vs. complex carbs), and micronutrient content. Neither of which have any bearing on body composition. Micronutrient content is the reason people favor brown rice, but if you already eat ample micronutrients in a given day, then MORE will yield no added benefit. So what's the problem with eating some ice cream?
