DoD Draft Round 1 Predictions

Okay people, here I am with the first batch of predictions for the DoD 2011 Summer Draft Tourney!
All of the teams seem to be generally pretty even so this is going to be an interesting set of
preds, and along for the ride to help me out we have our usual prediction guy, Airnick15thoverallpickinthedraft!

U mirin? vs candybars

Well, in my opinion umirin is one of the stronger drafted teams out of the bunch, and I believe
candybars will be without their captain, acetamino, which may be a bit of an obstacle for them.
umirin will have dorito patrolling the well, miller and jules will be a tough heavy team in the
apartments, and whoever they have sniping/3rding out of the rest of the team will be strong on long.
candybars strengths are definitely in their rifles with jackson and watchyourback, so dorito
and whoever his well partner is will have a battle ahead of them. With that said, however,
lennon is won and lost in the apartments and the miller/jules heavy team should prevail, securing
the win for umirin.

AirNick:

U mirin looks like one of the better teams, especially with the rifles of dorito and mogers
on a map like Lennon. However, they will be facing the equally talented duo of jackson
and fusion, so that should make for a rifling clinic for any who watch and should be an
even battle. The heavies of u mirin look to have the edge here, and on this map that is essential.

gonna be a close battle all around! JgN and biggie vs vasily and darkphantom at well, kaboom and milo vs
toxinator and beast in apartments, and scorch with josh brown vs canteen and alex kirk at long.

Mice on ice are a stacked roster with two players from THUNDER to go with a senior citizen,
two online stars, and one player coming out of retirement. TP has some good players as well, but
I’m not sure who will be heavying with k4b00m and who will be sniping. TP may have a slight edge at
well, but it looks like Mice on ice should control long and apartments with tox and beast,
which should be enough to win.

THE_ vs Team Austin

After the selection process was finished on sunday, I thought the sleeper pick of the tourney would be THE_.
Team Austin has a great 6 too, though, and on a map like lennon, the fire power of ryanemo in apartments along with
badnewspanda going up against cableguy and zook is going to be something exciting to watch. Team Austin also features...
Austin! and that guy is pretty gosh darn good (just in case you didn't know) and will more than likely be paired with
Mr. RDK at well which is going to be a lot to handle for THE_. Long will see AirNick and Yaso up against The_Game and patten
and should be relatively even. Basically I think every route on the map is quite even other than well, which Austin will
be in full control of, and because of that, I give the edge to Team Austin.

AirNick:

The_ seems to be one of the overlooked teams at this point as it includes two top players from risK to go along
with some skilled players to fill out the roster. Team Austin has two of the best players in the game in nomis and ryanemo,
and I’m just going to try to keep up with Patten at long, seeing as I’m used to sniping against players who take 15
seconds to scope in. Cableguy and zook against ryan and badnewspanda should be a good battle at mid, nomis and rdk
against ronin and emc looks about even, so I believe this should be a close one.

Lawnmower vs LOCKOUT

I thought lockout had the best drafted team overall and I still do. I also felt like team lawnmower may have the most
solid and evenly distributed level of talent through their 6 players. ceebz should kill taylor and seven at least
150 times in apartments while gaul and duality chtm their way through well (hiandrew) and ceebzceebzceebz

seriously though, LOCKOUT should be able to make this a smooth sail to the 2nd round in the upper bracket,
BARring any MAJLor random mishaps on their part. (get it? do you? irrelevant dod joke spotted.) okay that's
all i have to say, I was really just filling space with most of that prediction because I think this MAY be
a mismatch (but I've been wrong before. <3 team lawnmower)

Shogun’s team is rocking two accused online specialists in ceebz and jigsaw, and I say those are
good picks! Taylor’s team is another favorite as they don’t appear to have any weak spots, with
the combo of taylor and seven likely to smash people in apartments. Gaul and duality should look
to have a slight edge against hildebrand and bobson, which will make it difficult for
the Lawnmowers to pull off a win.

I mean I was too. Holy hell was that fun.

Taylor was clutch as fuck until the last 5 seconds when they capped out to win the game.

I was beasting kids in well as axis until they started sending 3-4 there which fucked up our whole world. Not to mention ceebz proned in apts in the gayest spot ever.
