In lieu of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, almost all the networks have had some type of tribute or documentary going about the tower collapses. So, do you guy sthink it was an inside job, or do you think we were presented the truth? Just wondering everyones opinion, let's try to keep the faggotry to a minimum.

when I travelled to NY for a corporative training and meeting I did all what tourist should do: visited the times square, the liberty statue, empire state bulding, rockefeller center, wall street bull and... the mark zero of course. on september 11 2001 I pretty much remember that after I a fucking hard Q3 math test I arrived home like 11 am local brazilian time, took of my black adidas, turned on my desktop to listen pearl jam live on two legs bootleg, hop'd on my bed to my weekly afternoon nap and when brough some sandwiches to eat I decided to turn on my TV for a moment. thats when I watched the first tower in flames. after maybe 20 minutes or so world trade center towers have collapsed and reports delivered that two other planes crashed on USA territory. I thought that we were entering in the 3d world war and all I did back in that unbelievable day was pray for the desperate people that jumped of windows willing to escape from a certain burning on asfixiated death and for the heroic NY firefighters that gave up their lifes trying to rescue people even when the order was get away as far as possible from it.

God bless the fathers, mothers, brothers, that went through the pain of losing their dear relatives that were just working, thinking about what they would eat in the lunch, what they would buy for their kids, what should be done to close the balance of the morning investments and had their lifes taken away by goddamm lunatics. putting aside all the religious, espionage and conspiracy stuff this was one of the saddest days of all mankind history along with the holocaust.

I don't necessarily think it was an "inside job", but I do feel that there are a lot of unanswered questions. Finding all of the terrorists' ids in the rubble? Not plausible. And anyone who has played jenga knows that if you pull the top pieces out, the structure remains intact. I just don't see how planes flying into the TOP of two buildings causes a collapse. And the evidence that thermite was used is pretty damning. Oh, and building seven collapsing? What is that about? These are steel and concrete structures, well above resisting the heat of burning jet fuel. The tin foil hat side of me thinks that the government didn't perpetrate the attacks, but rather stepped aside and let them occur with a little help along the way. Damaging a symbol as powerful as the WTC would only cause anger; destroying it caused unanimous resolve and unbridled support for war launch. And to add insult to injury, a majority of the people in the Bush administration profited substantially from the war and related activities. Plus, Cheney is just an evil bastard.

I would much rather believe that no one in the government had a hand in it, and maybe they didn't. But everything is just very weird.

What is degrading to 9/11 and the people who lost their lives is the response and the hundreds of thousands of innocent Afghani and Iraqi civilians as well as the deaths of our service men and women over seas in the on-going, go-nowhere military actions we have decided to take up.

I never understood why people would think 9/11 was an "inside job." It has caused a huge negative impact on our country for a good decade now and we're barely taking the steps toward recovery. Why would we intentionally do that to ourselves?

I have a friend who is one of those hard up conspiracy theorists. He's the type that thinks any government-regulated institution, anything from the DMV all the way up to our executive powers, is always run under some evil grand scheme. I'll be avoiding the 9/11 topic with him today lol. I don't think I have the energy to hear any more of his paranoid, manic rants.

Because the people in power could easily make loooooads of money off of it. I'm not saying it's an inside job, as I don't believe it was, but the top dogs and lobbyists in the national defense industry saw a major pay day from this.

Kevin, I was thinking the exact thing. Overall, as with anything now, I was annoyed by the two weeks of discussion about 9/11 on every form of media available prior to the actual date. The events that took place will always be remembered in our own individual ways, but I just can't stand everything being jammed down our throats by the media. It kind of reminds me of breast cancer awareness month last year and the NFL players wearing some form of pink. Truth be told, we should be moving on. I'm not going to conjure up false emotions of despair and sadness when I have come to terms with the events on 9/11 a long time ago.

I don't get why people want to dwell on it and relive that catastrophe all over again. I guess people want to feel like they have an excuse to lash our at the world so this is what does it for them.

I worked yesterday, dispatch set all the house packages off and gave a moment of silence as well as a last alarm for fdny's 343. I personally didn't have much time to reflect on the day as we were running back to back calls.

As far as the conspiracy theory goes- i really dont give it much thought. It's a fact planes flew into the towers. I don't know enough about building construction to state any facts however I do know that once a truss system fails the building colapses. A High rise building is built to collapse on itself because most highrises have many other highrises around. As far as building construction goes, we evacuate interior fire crews on any steel truss that is exposed to direct flame for more than 5 minutes, thats pretty much standard practice. You also have to account that a plane flew into the building at highspeed already weakening the structure. since jenga seems to be a popular comparison, we all know when you push on your jenga tower it falls down. imagine if one of your jenga pieces couldnt support the weight, the top of the jenga tower would fall down resulting in the rest of your game to fall down. Any ways don't want to get in it too much.

Cool story bro, except the towers were actually designed to handle plane crashes. Just google it, you will learn something. Oh yeh and not to mention they actually have pictures of the beams in the basement from the towers that are cut with a slant. Its common demoltion practice that they cut the beams at a angle to help the buildings collapse on themselves. I feel bad for the people that lost there lives, but thats never stopped our goverment from sending people to there deaths before. Just think about that for a second.
