Our team quit because we couldn't get six most weeks, and if we did it was generally too much hassle for Kevin to find them all just so we could get stomped. Also, we never said the team was dead, it just died when me and Kevin left for something more active, which I believe says enough about the state of it. Pretty much all of our good players from the season before had left us or gone inactive, and while we found a bunch of good players as replacements, a variety of factors prevented us from really having an active, reliable team. Squares was a fun team to play with, until match time came and we got wrecked on a weekly basis. Hold us up to any other team in that league and there's no way we could hope to beat any of them. The two lowest ranked teams have their only win from playing us.

Also, to get this all out of the way here, anyone claiming that me and Kevin are sandbagging by joining a main team, you should probably try actually watching us play. I've failed to break 10 kills a bunch of times this season.

Yeah, the longer I play HoN the more it sucks. Can't wait for DotA 2 to come out. It's like s2 just wants to release ridiculous heroes so that people don't play the ones from dota anymore. I mean, sure it's fun to play Ra and be able to jungle better than any hero and be unkillable if you don't get ganked before level 5, but it's also silly. I still like the graphics from HoN better than any of the other dota games out there, but they've ruined it with their new heroes and failure to properly balance them.

dota has some pretty op heroes that we don't see in this game. i'm not keeping my hopes up on dota2 being much better. i'm also afraid that dota2 is just going to be way too much of a rice fest. it's what keeps me away from playing hon a lot of the times, and dota is just much worse in that aspect.

dota also has a bunch of fun heroes that we don't see in hon either. broodmother, troll warlord, enchantress, meepo, phantom lancer, etc.

hi swiss theoratically a week prior season 26 there were 4 divisions and the DoD4ESL thingy was expected to happen... invite main intermediate and lower... long story one of the divisions died and ESL didnt worked out as you can see

Alright, first point: This whole "I don't want to be invite!" thing isn't exactly new, lots of teams have gone out of their way to play in lower divisions because they want to play easier matches. How do you think pdogz and 0|K won open?

Also, it's hardly a big thing that's happening now. As far as I know it's just squares and noLuck, and Squares quit because we didn't have any players. We have like 4 recruiting threads from the last 2 weeks we played, maybe some of you can piuece together what that meant. I'd be happy to play in invite with an active team that could actually compete. So that leaves us with one team that doesn't want to be moved up, and I'd hardly think Leroy Lopez is completely indicative of an entire league's state.

I think this is a great idea. Competition isn't as fun when you know who is going to win. This season (for invite at least) you know that THUNDER actually has some competition. Having the upper division broken into two divisions can give each one some competition for both the upper-tier and lower-tier teams. Then put the pub clans into something separate. I know some teams think they belong in open, but let's be honest - any players that have played competitively ever will beat the pub clans. Not saying those players are bad, but they don't have the knowledge that anyone who scrims/12mans frequently does. By losing to teams like thunder and drugs, at least those teams who got stuck in the upper league will get to see how to play more effectively and come in to win the next week.

I just started stringing together sentences together at the end there; hope that made sense!

Broodmother has a similar port in HoN, as far as Meepo, PL, and the other ridiculous heroes go, I'm glad they didn't port them over. Also, I agree that HoN is better graphically and that the new heroes ruined the game, thus I will continue to not play it for that reason.
