MVPz broke a rule, they can't handle the FF loss, they request a rematch. Their reasoning - "Traize didn't do anything but go negative and get dumped on". Last I checked, that doesn't fucking matter. No one checked our scores when we rated and our shit got overturned. I was explaining how their excuses are bullshit. Traize clearly wasn't useless. He had top flag caps when he rated his balls off. It's in the rules. You rate, you lose. Not entirely difficult to understand, is it? TPG is corrupt. End of god damn discussion?
You got the FF win.. so how is TPG Corrupt? Also, from what I remember reading, Taylu_b is the one who suggested the rematch? I think he's on your team isn't he?

This is where all the bullshit stemmed from. We were told by an admin to rematch. We weren't asked. It was presented to us as "Contact the other team, and rematch". Why? they rated. We won. Taylor was just trying to make amends, and sound nice. Then MVPz started cluttering the forums acting like complete and utter faggots, so I see no reason to keep treating them with respect. Narc. Why didn't you take the FF loss? Why is your team coming into vent post game calling us faggots, saying you'll lose respect for us if we don't let it slide? Make some sense homie.
I see a lot of "boohoo you're a moron", and not a lot of "Here is my reasoning for you being incorrect". butthurt team is butthurt.
edit : Also I didn't care in the slightest whether or not we played a rematch, but as soon as these nerds started saying "We won fair and square" and "Just take the loss" and shit, then I'm going to have to call you out on that. I don't see us sitting at 9-1 right now because people let our accidental rating player slide. No sir, I do not. Why would your team be an exception? That's the 1,000,000$ question that you people can't seem to fucking answer. Why in the hell would anyone care what the score was, or if it was playoffs? Your team broke a rule, you lose. /end.

How does a different admin who isn't on our team and who doesn't take any outside influence all of a sudden mean that TPG is corrupt. It wasn't the decision of anyone on our team. I never understood this shit. Not every decision is going to be the same across the board. There are different circumstances and nuances in every decision and therefore different results for similar situations can and will occur. I used to get the same shit when I ran CAL and it didn't make sense then as much as it doesn't make sense now. Some people are just too fucking stupid to understand basic management situations.

What are you talking about Char, we did take the ff loss. I told the tpg admin i was not going to handle this dispute. Then he decided to have us play a rematch. I had no control on that desicion. I then told him we were just going to take a ff loss since its the right choice considering the way tpg handled rating disputes. So that is the way it played out. As for my team going into your vent bitching about you pulling a rate dispute to get a win? Well who wouldnt. It is a gay way to win. I roll my eyes at every single rate dispute that comes to tpg. I think to dispute over it is pathetic, thats my personal feelings. You and your team have no shame in winning on a technicality. Kudos. You won. Personally I wouldnt have disputed any team over it. Thats just me and I know there are other teams that wouldnt either. I believe your team was not disputed by hd when your player had a 7500 rate. Just goes to show you that there are cool players and teams still left. You and your team, well dont fit in that list. I have zero respect for everyone on your team. But you were within your rights. But let me ask you this, if you ever got pulled over and the cop let you off on an warning, is that cop corrupt even though you blatantly broke the rules? No, he made a judgement call. Not sure if that was a good example but its an example of what we call judgement calls. Thats even in the rules.

TPG admins will review each case separately and determine what, if any, remedy is required for each situation.

Char, the fact that you honestly think that Traize having a rate of 7500 dramatically impacted the match that much for your team to lose is enough to prove you don't know shit about the game or the situations that you yourself were involved in during your own match. Traize wasn't the one dominating anyone but maybe our second flag. He spent the entire match getting yelled at and I had to bail out the long team quite a few times. You guys lost. You would have lost still if Traize didn't have the 7500 rate. What would you be grasping at then when the old fucks beat you? Austin admitted you guys didn't play your best match. That had nothing to do with Traize. It might have been caused by your guys being cocky and thinking you could just switch weapons during the playoffs because you beat us earlier in the season by a good margin. Teams play better or worse on different maps. We just played better than you on Harrytown. In all of the years I have played this game and for all of the teams that I had run and played on, I would have never let a rating issue last throughout the match and if it did happen to get by, I wouldn't use it to get a cheap playoff win when my team was obviously beat fairly. And I am sorry, a 7500 rate, not even a bad update rate or cmd rate doesn't cause that much of a swing. You would have lost with or without the rate.

That's fine though. I'm good knowing that we won the match when we were such clear underdogs. Great game mindflow, it was awesome to play decent against austin and I really did have the most fun in a match I had had in a while. We probably won't have Pat and Ace back on mvpz and who knows the status of us going into next season, but I really think we underachieved this season. This match was a clue of the potential we could have reached if we actually put in the effort. It was a fun season and I wouldn't change it for anything.

I don't see NFL/NBA teams feeling bad after winning by technicality. Feeling pretty good right now.

He fixed his rate second half, and you lost second half. I guess that we just happened to get MAGICALLY BETTER at a video game in the span of 5 minutes. Clearly we were outplayed. You can't even compare pro sports to a video game that's played for nothing more than bragging rights. As for feeling good about winning over stupid shit like rating, shows just how much of a child you really are.

You must have skipped several posts where others have brought up the rating issue. Your team should be punished. You broke the rules. Everyone else was punished. Your team was being extremely greasy, trying to wiggle through with a win. You're just furious that your team can't even check rates before a match that you care so much about. To people saying "Hey, you did get the FF win". That came after 4 pages of DoDrama that I so intensely cooked up.

Don't really give a fuck if you want the gay win. I've won plenty in this game and the one match doesn't really mean as much to me as it obviously does you. The fact that you needed to push this dispute forward with something so weak like a default rate says enough for me. Head back to idiotville, population: the unaware...

How much did you lose by? If you lost by more than 50 (being modest there), you would have lost regardless of Traize having illegal rates.

You're being awfully sassy for someone who is borderline irrational.

If the rules are stupid, and the more LOGICAL choice is to do something that goes against those stupid rules, then it's justified. Simple.

Basically this whole case sounds like Bayside High's ordeal at CPL 2005.

inb4 "what happened at CPL in 2005?"
inb4 "what's CPL?"

Char you're just funny because you're actually thinking you deserve the win when you lost by ~100, or so? Yeah, a rate of 7500 TOTALLY MADE YOU LOSE.

Pls go. Hide behind the rules even those said rules are fucking stupid. As a team leader, I would never make someone FF if we lost by that much over rates. Sad. Sad sad sad.

usad? ya u sad.

Sad. Sad sad sad.

usad? ya u sad.

I would never, ever dispute over rates if I lost by that much.
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you.

If the rules are stupid then change the rules. No one ever goes into a court room and says this law is stupid. (Yes I'm quite aware this isn't a court room, but the same principal applies). If someone gathered evidence in a murder trial, even if it so blatantly showed the defendant to be guilty, if it was obtained illegally it can not be used.

In order for the rules to maintain their legitimacy they must be enforced. That is the only appropriate logical response. It's impossible to evaluate impartially what is a stupid rule and what isn't. Therefore the only way to protect everyone is for the rules to be clear and for the rules to be followed. If they are not followed there are consequences. The only acceptable exception to this is if the team who was rated against (or any other violation for that matter) decides to "drop the case"

If we aren't going to follow any rules we may as well just play 12 mans and not have a league. If that is the case I'll just go back to playing CS instead. I've always enjoyed the competition and structure of playing in a league, that is what is fun about it for me. I don't want that to go away.

I would say this is a great time to change the rules regarding rating. The fact that you can win by 100 points and have the match overturned for 7500 rate is crazy illogical.

The rules state what the fuck happens if you rate, moron. Obviously the right to change rules would be reserved for a very complicated scenario? Why the fuck would they just change a basic rule that has been in place forever? Oh wait, see entire thread.

Illegal rates:

Players may not go below the minimum approved values. Failure to do so will result in that player's team will be awarded 0 points per half;one player rating, first half 0 points, two players rating, first and second half 0 points and a minimum one game suspension.

Just because your dumbass, biased opinion doesn't see how there are extraneous variables regarding this matter doesn't mean the rest of us "illogical" folk don't. As we pay attention to said variables, we acknowledge that the TPG admin authority being used to propose/accept a rematch IS justified AND in accordance with the rules.

Brb ALL instances of rating are the same. There are never other factors that differentiate one case from another. Rating is rating. Judgment shouldn't be used when approaching cases.

actually that was alittle different then this. your team + the other team both had a player that was rating so he gave you both a ff + it was regular season.

Overturning a match where you clearly would have lost regardless of the rating is illogical. And if Narc did it to you previously under the same circumstances, I would say that was illogical, too.

Furthermore, from what I've gathered in this thread, YOUR team [leader?] proposed a rematch. They accepted, you bitched your ass off, and now Narc is taking the FF loss.

Why would I be mad? The general consensus is you can't read for shit and you're bitching like a 12 year old girl. You're making yourself look like a damn moron.

And your alias is char. Nothing further.

Is this true? If so, big LOL at you leaving out those INCONSISTENT CIRCUMSTANCES (I've mentioned this point multiple times now - no excuse for forgetting it) that completely defeat your entire point.

If you do that then everyone is going to start rating and running around with a thompson/unter, particularly when they're losing a match. Where do you draw the line? 30 points? 50? As I pointed out in a previous post all it takes is about 35 seconds for everyone to make a read only userconfig.cfg that automatically exec's with proper rates and ex_interp settings. If everyone did that this would never happen.

Slippery slope argument is slippery. If an entire team is rating and you lose by 100, overturn it. If someone has default rates and you lose by 100, that's a stupid overturn. It's really that simple. Hence Narc having the rule where each case is different and will be judged independent of each one.

I agree everyone SHOULD play by the rules and make a proper userconfig.cfg (read only). But overturn a match because someone was rating when said team would have won regardless of rating? That's just stupid.

I handled the dispute for the MVPZ vs MINDFLOW match.. Since it was a playoff match.. i felt that having a rematch would be the better alternative. (YOUR LEADER WANTED TO DROP THE DISPUTE AND FORGET ABOUT THE WHOLE THING.) Rather than having taylub drop the dispute I said you should just Replay the match. I knew he would agree with this since he was willing to drop the dispute in the first place.. I'm sick of hearing "Rules are Rules" ... Read above(§8 Disclaimer). I didn't handle the quarterfinal match with TA and KS if it had caught my eye I would have proposed the same thing. Rematch. Since it was a playoff match and the rating prob didn't have anything to do with the outcome.. The Rating rules will certainly be changed for next season.. One thing you should all remember is this is like season fucking 26? how long ago were these rules written? I feel the the rating rule mainly pertains the 'South American' players... aka Karl1san.. would rate and crouch hop around everywhere being unhittable. But the rule will definitely be changed.

Narc already stated that admins reserve the right to treat each case differently, you illiterate fuck.

And guess what? It's in the fucking rules.

Where's your logic now.

See what Narc posted regarding the rules and how admins take each instance as a unique case.

I would say this is a great time to change the rules regarding rating. The fact that you can win by 100 points and have the match overturned for 7500 rate is crazy illogical.
If everyone did that this would never happen.
just take the overturn rule out and suspend the player that rates.

I feel the the rating rule mainly pertains the 'South American' ARGENTINEAN players... aka Karl1san.. would rate and crouch hop around everywhere being unhittable. But the rule will definitely be changed.

We were told to replay the match, as Tox stated. Taylor was trying to mend the situation.
Narc told us "Rules are Rules" when we had a player accidentally rating, so that's what we told him when his team told us to let it slide.
You should at least get your facts straight before storming in here like a 6 year old on a sugar high, making little to no sense at all. You just seem to skim through things and misinterpret nearly everything that is right in front of your face. Very tragic if you have this disability in the real world.
Edit: by the way, we only had someone rating one half in that game where we both received an FF loss, they had someone missing demos I believe. Guess you missed that part too. Man, you're just missing 95% of your facts today aren't you there little guy?
