i'm 26, i know who Dilfer is. i still don't see Alex Smith ever winning a SB. he's been gargage for years, niners will most likely be one and done in the playoffs. every team in the playoff hunt right now in the NFC, i would pretty much take them all over the niners just because of Alex Smith. he has been holding the niners back the last few years.

I've been a niners fan my whole life, born and raised in the bay area. Watched the last super bowl they won from candlestick when I was 9 and been to several games even after moving 2 states away. The games I went to were ran by a wife beating rehab needing Garcia and a quarterback we all want to be good, but he's just had the shittiest luck in staffing above him. I've been to a game when they were 0-5 and had a blast.... For what its worth I'm also a die hard giants fan. Remember them? They beat the phillies and won the world series. I never said smith was better than vick, just that he beat the eagles. Personally I'm fine with smith's play. He hasn't thrown away nearly as many games as he has in the past 4 seasons. Or as many as vick this season.

wouldn't call it Vick throwing away games, i'd call it Andy Reids play calling is terrible, has been for years, clock management is a disgrace. not to mention, our defensive cordinator was an offensive line coach his whole nfl coaching career, i think he coached a highschool defense in the 80's

Eagles haven't looked as bad as of late, especially the defense, but it may be just to late for them + the injuries are starting to stockpile, vick,jackson,maclin,nmadi all hurt.

our offensive line hasn't been very good this year, either. they've been pretty good lately, but Vick was getting murdered every snap up untill about 2 games ago.

almost forgot, they have Samuel & Nmadi - two of the best, and they throw Nmadi in zone coverage, make's no sense.

Young>Vick i bet 15times on a 7 point spread Sunday night on the Eagles.... wouldn't even thought about it if Vick was starting would have been the so called dream team if Young started the season everyone blames the eagles o-line but give me a break was young sacked twice? He is a pocket passer and can run. pretty impressive game when he almost never got reps at PRACTICE. Vick can run and uh maybe get lucky throwing a 50 yard pass.and 3 interceptions and fumbles every game too so overrated, Young would have beat the terrible Bills and a no brainer the Cardinals.... next year wherever he goes he will at least have a 500 record he did save Jeff fishers job in 2008 when he won 8 straight games
