right on point: http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/7302 ... title-gameBrentMusburger wrote:Oh, I agree with you entirely about Houston. They don't belong. They don't have the facilities or name to attract potential NFL talent---which basically proves they aren't as good. My point was how fan bases (Alabama) and owners of the tv rights for the SEC (ESPN) shift the argument to whichever way suits them at the time.
Although, I do think Oklahoma is going to beat OSU easily.
LSU beat Alabama on the road. Now, LSU has to play in an SEC championship against Georgia, give bama more film, risk injury, and could lose out playing in the national title while bama sits home and sips hot chocolate. Then, they get another chance at LSU, which at most ties the series 1-1. LSU's first win, division win, and conference win would have meant nothing outside of pride.
I'm sure Rick will be looking for a new job on Monday for biting the dirty southern hand that feeds ESPN.Swiss wrote: right on point: http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/7302 ... title-game
Maybe he can come back and do that dillusional thing where fans will say "oh, if we didn't make this turnover in this game we would have won" "Oh, they got luck on XYZ play" "well, if we didn't have this injury or this hard schedule". So I'm sure the Eagles are really a good team and should be 8-4.with nugz banned, who is going to blindly defend the now 4-8 eagle dream team as they fall to the mighty seahawks out of that NFL power conference, the NFC West?

or it's because they've had the easiest schedule in the NFL.Rob wrote:And if the Cowboys weren't such choke artists at the beginning of the season they'd have one of the best records in the NFL now, maybe the 2nd best behind GB.
The losses to the Jets, Lions, and Patriots were total giveaways. But from another viewpoint, a loss is a loss and if they can't close out games, they don't deserve to win them. It really looks like they're righting the ship though. Now that Romo is healthy and Murray is emerging, the offense is really coming together. The defensive secondary really needs to shape up though. A healthy Jenkins is one of the better CBs in the league, and Newman is nowhere near as bad as Cowboys fans make him out to be, but holy crap our safeties...
I'm so excited about Sean Lee though. Man what a great young linebacker.

60 ypg and ZERO touchdowns all season while fumbling it 8 times / losing it 3. Try again?
Also last time I checked it was a team game, not a FFL personal stat glory game... Object is to win, right? Smith is doing that this season, Vick is not.
Swiss wrote:they are definitely a let down team. believe me, theres a pretty strong love-hate relationship in dallas.
but if you look at the games theyve lost, 3 out of the 4 losses were very close games. some they definitely sould have won (look back as early as the washington game). getting blown out by the eagles is pretty embarrasing when looking how philly has played recently, though. all-in-all, the cowboys have had a decent season considering the fact that theyre not really a contending team by any stretch of the imagination

Also, knocking the ball down is the dumbest strategy on the Hail Mary I have ever conceived. Catch it. If you can knock it down, then you can pick it.

Fantasy is a good outlet for me because I really don't have a team in the NFL. There are teams I hate, aka most of the NFC West, the Cowboys, and the Jets, but I don't have a team I like.unpro wrote:i never really understood the appeal of fantasy sports, are they actually any fun?

I've never actually done fantasy football, but I'd imagine that if you're a person who watches all the games anyways, you might as well build your own team and prove to other people you know more than them.
It's also how I stay in contact with my friends from over seas. They can all play Madden or NCAA Football on Xbox. I cannot. Might as well just have fun. Makes about as much sense as playing DOD.BrentMusburger wrote:unpro wrote:i never really understood the appeal of fantasy sports, are they actually any fun?

I don't see the Chiefs winning out. Orton is too fluky and inconsistent with his play. One week its 9348759834 interceptions, then next week he has zero. I've never been sold on him being a solid starting NFL QB.mg_ wrote:Bills had a front-loaded seasons, the Pats win was a fluke by all estimations.dane wrote:honestly who didn't see this happening to the Bills after their start and subsequent over paying of Ryan Fitzpatrick?
Also, if the Bills beat the Broncos and the Chiefs win out, the Chiefs will win their division and go to the playoffs. lol.
The game Orton won for the Broncos this season was against Cincy, their best opponent by far, and they went with a run-first mentality.CharlieGiteau wrote:I don't see the Chiefs winning out.
