~K~

I am currently in possession of the Skeleton Key. However until I return it to it's rightful place I cannot be crowned leader of the thieves guild! I think I'm going to wait on finishing that quest until I get my lockpick up to 100 :) I'm not in that big of a hurry to be the best at something bad. The dragon priests were an ancient group of mages that worshipped the Dragons. They are super powerful and have these mostly plain masks that are different colors and give insane stat boosts. The mask that I got gives a 70 point bonus to Stamina, oh wow!

Yours in now carrying more items.

If I have to go toe to toe with them, I just hit the sneak button with the top sneak perk unlocked and it makes me invisible for a split second, which = another backstab critical.
The x35 sneak damage or w/e yeah its amazing, i've played mage, warrior and rogue and mage was by far the funniest class. Only good thing with rogue was the nightingale armor(coolest armor in the game).

Mr. Rogers,

I feel like I would prefer a heavy armor helmet and just get some grand master soul gems to deck out a ring or something. I'll get a soul from one of those bastards when I see one and make them useful. I'm jealous to read that you have acquired the skeleton key. How many quests does it take to get there? I feel like it should be quite a bit so that they have a long quest line. I'll figure it out come next week when I get back on the road and shake off the rust. I shall cut this short and return to my work.

Sincerely,
Mr. Gardner

Dear Mr. Gardner,

It doesn't take that many quests, but the few that you have to go through are very detailed and drawn out. I scored some dragonscale armor.. and apparently it's light armor? At least what I looted was. Don't see how that's possible since those dragon bones weigh 15lbs. I immediately disenchanted it.. and regretted it.

I grow tired of Mjoll, and her constant tales of being an adventurer. Especially when I'm trying to sneak into a room, or trying to listen to important dialogue. Yap yap yap. Or when I kill a dragon in front of her, and she starts talking about her accomplishments as a past adventurer. Sigh.

Come back Kardner,
Sincerely,
Mr. Rogers... :/

LoLgers,

I'm sorry to hear married life isn't treating you well. I guess the stereotypes inside an adventurer's world are the same as usual. I'm more sorry to hear that dragonscale armor is light, though. Looks like I'm going to start upping light armor instead. I've been waiting for that armor and I'll damn well get it. I'm starting to forget what it feels like when the adrenaline begins to pump at the first site of a dragon in the morning. We must wait a few more days. Don't beat the game by then. When the new year rolls around, my mace will meet dragon scales once again.

Dragonplate armor is heavy armor.

The dragon plate armor needs like 10 leather strips, 13 dragon scales and like 5 or 6 dragon bones. And that's heavy armor.
I think the dragon scale light armor need the same but some iron and leather.

Get daedric armor instead though, looks amazing~

Finally I got around to start the game. I chose to be a dark elf with a sweet beard that has a knot in it and named myself "Taylord" to make myself sound somewhat mid evil, I thought it was clever. I ended up following the guard and making it to that little town that told me to go to another town to tell them their village needs soldiers. When I got to the kingdom looking place a picked someones house door lock and stole all his stuff while he was asleep on the bed and then proceeded to steal his horse but I got thrown in jail for it. After getting my quest i thought it was a good idea to climb this huge mountain to do some sight seeing and I ended up falling off to my death and wound up back in that damn town again where I got arrested.

I think ill try the game again tonight but that first experiment was a little bit to much for my taste ended up turning on the tv Image

STOP RIGHT THERE, CRIMINAL SCUM

The guards see through 100 sneak and have a ridiculously long line of sight. Better off just getting a horse by doing the Dark Brotherhood questline.

Dear Diary,

I finally got back out onto the wondrous road today. It's been too long, and the adrenaline of fighting bandits and sneaking around was exhilarating. I did not see any dragons today which brings my dry spell upwards of two weeks (counting the days I was MIA to make it sound more dramatic). I think I've successfully scared them away. That or my run ins with the Thieves Guild has put a hold on my fate as a DragonBorn. Each quest has been dragging on, and I have been running out of lock picks along the way. That was until I found some woman willing to sell me 27. TWENTY-SEVEN, Matt. I haven't been this excited about a find since I found my ebony mace. Which, by the way, is starting to annoy me. You'd think that after swinging it around so much, I'd be able to swing it faster. Damn lazy cat. Anyway, I hope you don't finish your adventures too quickly, seeing as how you're something like 10 levels ahead of me. You shall hear again from me soon!

Couple of questions I want answered from a crowd of consumers.

First, is Skyrim on steam?

Second, is Skyrim worth the money for someone with a limited amount of RPG experience (re: almost nil).

Dear Co-Author of the Greatest Thread to span from 2011 into 2012,

Oh the adventures.

I have yet to see any more dragon priests in my travels, only the wretched beasts that they once worshiped. That and motherfucking vampires.. I have yet to be tainted by one of these demon spawn, but I fear it may be inevitable as my travels have made me encounter them more and more.

I have recently become the "Champion" of a few of the gods in the game. I am sad to say however that the majority of these deity have been evil in nature.. Their rewards are just too good to pass up Kevin.. I don't know what to do. They make killing people sound like the right thing to do, also, the fact that I can either do their bidding or die by their hand.

Kevin, I need you more tonight..

Matt

P.S.
Mitch, it is on Steam, and you need to get it. Your wit could be just what this thread needs to push it over the top.

Funny story,

I was bitten by a vampire the very first day i started my adventures. There I was, a lowly level three cat person, trying to find my way through the first dungeon I found. After five minutes, I was attacked by a blood vampire (is there any other kind? Come on.), and I "began to feel the thirst" or whatever shit it says. My game got all red for a second and I just continued along the way. In this dungeon was the first time I used the strategy of luring an enemy to the edge of a wall and Thu'uming him off. It's been my backup plan these many months (weeks). I always wondered if he had some special weapon on him...I'll never know.

As for dragons, one was teasing me outside of Riften this morning. He just kept flying. And flying. The bastard didn't have the guts to end. Then in Winterhold, one flew right down on top of me but REFUSED to actually land on the ground. I just kept shooting him until he died. The guards did nothing to help. Useless mage wannabes. I still have yet to use any more dragon souls. Have you? I found a wall that gives me a disarm, but when I died and redid it, I forgot to get it. I have to go back and find it sometime soon. Son of a bitch.

I hope to see you in the daylight,

I-was-never-really-a-vampire / the-game-tricked-me.

I spent a good twenty minutes exploring the wilderness and came upon a shout wall. However standing before me were to Hagravens bringing a Forsworn Briarheart back to life. I'm not sure why I thought it was a good idea to just try and run in and get the shout, but I tried, basically getting insta-killed and loading my auto-save from 25 minutes earlier, before I had climbed a mountain and found about 8 landmarks. Shut my xbox off. Ugh.

What a day, Matthew. What a day.

To start off, I spent the majority of it in the depths of some awful Dwarven ruins. The falmer are by far the worst creatures in this world. What's that random people of Skyrim? You're afraid of dragons? Wait until these ancient elves decide to resurface and kill you all. I can slay a dragon in less than a minute if it doesn't run away. But a horde of falmers? Takes way too long and way too many potions. By the end, I shouted away about 7 that were chasing me at once and just ran. Then, when I got to the end of the dungeon, I waited for a few to catch up and pushed them over the ledge. It makes me laugh way too much to have let that opportunity pass. What other quests did I manage to squeeze in in such a busy day? Well, none, because I spent my entire time IN THESE DAMNED RUINS. It was actually a pair of ruins. The first started with an I and had too many consonants to pronounce. The other was just part of the dwemer museum excavation. I didn't even know if went that deep! That's what she said. ANYWAY. I hope to never see a falmer again. My plan is to stick to dragon priests and daedra, the things you have spent days gloating about. I have yet to even see one.

Which brings me onto a section I am calling daily (and possibly one time only) Q&A.

1) What part of the world do you spend most of your time lurking around?
-- I have found myself in Riften for far too long. I am doing pretty well on cash money coins, but the scenery is getting old. I'm thinking of delving into somewhere far north, maybe a bit snowier.

2) How many houses do you have?
-- I still only have Breezehome, but I want to find one somewhere else. More importantly, I want to find somewhere with an arcane enchanter. My only concern is I'd have to transport all of my enchanted stuff from one home to the other and, let's be honest, that seems a bit daunting. I have WAY too much stuff. I don't think I've actually sold anything I've found.

3) What day is it for you?
-- I'm pretty sure I just celebrated the 21st of Frostfall? Something like that. It's hard to remember without the game open, I'll report back on that later.

4) Lastly, how are you?
-- We've spent so much time talking about grand deeds and amazing accomplishments, we have completely skipped over the topic of feelings! Oh, who am I kidding? YOU'RE AWESOME, aren't you? Obviously.

This may be my longest post on these forums ever, and I hope to top it off soon.

Looking for a new adventure every day,
Kevin.

Captains Log:
Save 239:

I followed a talking dog into a Vampire Den today. I thought the talking dog was strange until he brought to my attention the fact that there were flying lizards and two legged cats. That dog had quite the silver tongue. It mattered not as those blood thirsty fiends met the ass end of my mace.

The road lately has been a lonely one. I have not seen a friendly face in over a fortnight. I fear that my foes might have slain all those friendly, and I in return have slain my foes. Leaving just me in all of Skyrim. I still hold out hope that I will run into a Khajiit named Kevin, and we together can re-populate the world.

I haven't spent much time in any one place. My map has so much white on it you'd think it was parked under a flock of birds all day.

I have two houses at the moment. The first one that you get in Whiterun, then one in Riften. The one in Riften has an arcane enchanter and is pretty nice. You have to do the quests/tasks for the Jarl and their assistant before they will let you buy a house in Riften.

I don't know what day I'm on honestly.. I'll have to check it at some point and report back.

I am doing great. Killed my 2nd Dragon Priest today, and I have Daedra friendz ( YEAH U JELLY )

My recommendation is to just start walking in a direction, climb a mountain and find something interesting. You never know where it might take you. But you don't have to take my word for it.

My most mischievous Matthew,

My message must be brief. I am currently taking shelter behind a centurion for the night. My whereabouts are unknown. All I do know is that I am lost in a dungeon filled with already dead dwarven creations. The loot is plentiful, but my assistant Ioda is weak and can only carry so much. What's that, you can't carry 600 pounds of metal? Suck it up, bitch, I'm your Thane. Anyway, I'm stalking a group of dead, red ghosts. They ignore me even when I jump around them in a gleeful manner. I wonder what they want from me. I think it has to do with this black and red Rubix cube like thing I possess. The Lexicon? Sounds ominous. I must slumber for now, if these creaking halls will ever sleep. I shall see you tomorrow, on the battle field. Make sure you tell me when to be there because you weren't very clear last we spoke.

God speed,
K.

Dear skyrimers

If you click the "tell companion to do button"(or w/e it is named) and then click on an item, the companion will be able to pick up infinite of items, regardless of weight. I belive you need to talk to them and there should be some line that you can tell them to do something, then point&click at the item that you want him/her to pick up.
On PC atleast.

Dear Matt,

Do you have any iron ore/ingots I can borrow? I have used all mine in an attempt to level my smithing to at least level 60 - I made about 60 iron daggers in the process. I think I'm at 47 smithing and a bit higher enchanting. Anyway, I can't find anywhere that actually sells these materials. I bought out Whiterun, then tried Riften and some town with a W - both to no success. Let me know of your success in harvesting said materials.

Much love,
Kevin.

Dear Kevin,

On my travels tonight I found another Dragon Priest. Found and killed that is. He was no match for my soul stealing daedric mace. I've now got 3 of the Dragon Priest masks and I'm well on my way to getting them all. I wish I could help you with your smithing problem dear friend. I've not yet tried my hand at it to be honest. I've got my lockpicking and archery both up to 97 though. If you need help with one of those..

mogers,

I still don't believe these tales of dragon priests that you tell. You say you've killed three? I have yet to see a single one! Absurd, nay, preposterous is what I say! I did however finally encounter that talking dog we spoke of. The son-of-a-bitch led me into at least 4 traps before finding his stupid master. I almost killed him in the end out of spite, but the ax was pretty bad. By letting him live and turn into a huge stone dog thing, I got a bitchin' helm. Huzzah! I have also spent most of my time lately leveling smithing. I went from level 17 to level 72 in one to two days. I wanted level 60 to make magic weapons stronger, than went the extra distance for enhancing glass. My armor and weapons are now pimped out. I need to find about 200 more iron ingots to make 200 more iron daggers to get to level 100 and make dragon shit. However, before that happens, I might start wearing light armor and using 2-handed weapons just to level more. I need more points for perks. I only have 2 at the moment (last 7 were used in smithing. It's an awfully big tree). I still need about 3 or 4 in lock picking alone. I don't care what it takes, I WILL have every perk I want! I have seen several orcs walking around on the road. From a distance, I pretend that my dear friend mogers has finally found me. I am always disappointed. The bastards won't even make me blood-kin. Orcs with trust issues? Who would have thought of that.

Journey safe, friend.

Dearest Kevin,

I am so glad that you found that witty four legged friend who leads you through one of the worst dungeons I've come across. Not so much in difficulty, but honestly, who wants to deal with a bunch of Vampires and annoying Necromancers. I also chose to let the dog live and felt all the better for it. I am disappointed you have yet to find any of the Dragon Priests Kevin. They are a true test of ones might and skill and I look forward to hearing about you vanquishing them with ease.

Hugs and Kisses,

Dear Butterfingers,

I have come close to the discovery of Dragon Priests today. Though I did not meet one in person, I have discovered a dagger belonging to said people. I hope to enchant it and slay the first priest I find with it's blade. I also traveled as far north from Winterhold as I could today. I'm not sure if I found the man on an island you spoke of, but I did get the message "You can't go that way." It was very satisfying. My quest to level my gear is growing by the day. Soon, I will have my dragon armor and it will be glorious. Until then, I will stick with ebony. OH. I found a weapon that, upon killing a target in a specific time, can capture souls. Move over Soul Trap skill, hello neatly crafted Glass Sword with awesome enchantment! I have filled up numerous gems without breaking a sweat. On a side note, if you have not done so already, I would look into getting The Black Star from Azura. It fills with grand souls and never goes away, you just have to refill it. It has been a life saver.

Forever yours,
KG.

Dear KG,

I made the mistake of doing a quest on the Main Story line last night and have unexpectedly almost beat the game. By finding the man to the north and completing his quest you accomplish part of the main story line without even knowing it. I had many more dealings with the Greybeards last night and in return have been rewarded with I think 2 fully leveled up shouts. One that can clear skies of inclement weather, and one of lore thought to be lost forever. You also find out who the leader of the Greybeards is and boy is that fun. On a side-note I killed my fourth Dragon Priest today Kev. In talking to the Greybeards Arngeir gave me a location of a Dragon, which had a dragon, a dragon priest and a shout wall with 3 words on it. You might want to make the trek ( or fast travel ) to High Hrothgar and speak to Arngeir. He could possibly give you the same quest that yields outstanding rewards. I need a full rundown of your stats. What level do you have everything at, what is your health, magicka and stamina at?

Cordially,
MR
