I'm getting around 100 straight ping to all servers which shoots up to 180ish every once in a while. How2get less than that?
I'm on cable, 24 mg down/1mg up. I can barely play dod... =/

yeah the first thing I did was turn off all programs and computers in the house. Its definitely not an outside factor. It may be something like opening the right ports for dod. but thats something I dont really know how to do. It could also be my router fucking up, but I don't really know.

dallas is where its at. but i may be biased considering i get single digit ping...
i had similar problems before with my ping spiking and found out my router was dying. if nothing else works and its been several years, you might want to get a new one.

How do you get single digit pings to dallas servers from austin?
Even when I lived in dallas I rarely had a single digit ping in dallas servers.

really?? yeah i was surprised even here in austin i ping 8-9, sometimes double digits but even then its 11-13. in dallas i always ping under 10, 7-9 usually
