might need a replacement in mona vegas

Post by Rob »

I have no idea when my internet will be fixed. Apparently the phone lines at my apartment are totally fucked.

So I'd like to pick up one more player for mona vegas, just to give the roster a little leeway for no-show situations.

There's no guarantee you'll start. You probably will though, considering the team had to use a ringer for the last match.

Message me or anyone else on the team! (shogun, beast, badnewspanda, justin lynch, mista, gilbertha).

Rosters seem to have locked since we already scheduled our match. But fear nothing, I can either add the guy via backend or allow him as a ringer, that's for sure. 8-)

And oh, btw, you're a great guy. Enough said. :)

(And I won't write NOT back down a few lines above what said above)

Umm yea, you can allow a ringer, but adding someon via backend when rosters are lock isn't a good way to ensure being an admin for long. There are those certian cases where Its been done but I dont feel this is one of them.

Rosters permanently lock on Saturday. Team schedules match sooner out of convenience for all players. One team needs a backup because someone is having internet trouble.

I don't see the logic as to why the team wouldn't be able to have a player added.

Please accept my apologies. I didn't meant to bypass TPG rules about roster lock. Rob's team accepted playing our match tonight - since everyone of the team will be out of town from saturday through wednesday - which locked his team roster. Since TPG's default day is Sunday I couldn't be that accomodating and naively thought that I could bring the new guy in without any trouble for them. That was my intention.

Just to clarify, I was being sarcastic/making a joke about Voldemort.

Our community is small, and everyone knows everyone. In situations like this I don't really see any problems with working things out however necessary so that people can actually have fun and play their matches. After all, this is the point of all of this.

We have rules so that people can't manipulate players and teams in a way that give them an unfair advantage, that's certainly not happening here.

Rosters are locking for the rest of the season after week 7 matches, I extended this for a week to give players a week to make adjustments to thier rosters. I am completely aware of the state this game is in, and if cass would have came to me and explained exactly what was going on Im sure I would have been understanding. But to come on 1911 and make a comment about ignoring TPG rules, as an admin, is not tolerated by me at all. That is why I addressed it in this way. I dont allow myself or any other admins to be corrupt and that was not helping. Talking to me in steam or vent would have been a better route to take. Thats all Im saying.

Yeah that's fair. I understand your concern in regards to keeping your admins in line. I was just clarifying that I didn't actually think cass should be fired over what he said, as I was just giving him a hard time.

Narc is totally right: I should've talked to him privately instead of posting that I actually could add someone directly from the admin's section. It was wrong. And since I screwed up publicly I felt necessary to apologise publicly as well.

Btw Eric I knew that you were just pulling my leg on your reply, thanks for clarifying though +rep

And badnewspanda, Rob mentioned about playing 8 cst :)
