So I was checking gotfrag today and this was the most recent post....

Who is this man that dares to threaten the holy Eric Sears and what in god's name is he talking about? Do we need to roll on this mofucka?

it's a joke on the movie "Taken" basically he is making a joke that gotfrag dod is dead (hell, most of gotfrag is dead) because Mr. Sears put 1911 back up, and everyone comes here, because gotfrag sucks.

Haha, Yeah I know about that.

Some of the old admins (Moriar) went rogue and deleted like half the site last year. Which is the main reason I threw forums up on 1911. Then people and started nuking/banning everything/everyone that was posted.

My account is banned, but one of the tf2 players named "defiance" (just a coincidence, not the defiance we know from DoD) messaged Ricky (who also has gf mod) to ask him who was doing it.

Well, dumbizzle is dumbizzle, and told them it was probably me.

And thus started this game of telephone amongst the TF2 and CS communities as it spread via word of mouth that it was I, Eric Sears, the evil mastermind behing 1911 that has so viciously ruined they're beloved gotfrag.

I still get questions about it from time to time, and I've had people threaten me personally and tell me they were going to DDoS and hack 1911 in retribution. So, that could get interesting.

But yeah... THANKS DUMBIZZLE

There was actually a post on reddit not too long ago in reference to "what happened to gotfrag" and it was mentioned that a mod from the tf2 section started banning everyone in an attempt to kill the board...no mention of sears though.

Hahahaha.....so at that Pennsylvania DOD:Source LAN we logged onto a computer to find that a TF2 gotfrag admin had left his account logged in....it was around the time of "flock of seagulls" and "bike gang" so i took the moment to ban Illussion and DustinYoung....long story short i went to the bathroom and the dude I was heavying with(Forbes i think?) was sitting at my computer upon my return laughing hysterically. The moron banned literally everyone he could find, including midway and cypher if I'm not mistaken.

That story seemed a lot more relevant in my head before I typed it out.

I won't say that I took part in that. But I also won't say that I didn't take part in that. I think the overall effort took many people several days of work and set the forums back to about 2007. The goal, of course, was to delete everything DoD-related that occurred after Errick Beaulieu (CAL|Beaulieu) slayed Day of Defeat. Unfortunately, the goal was not attained.

I'm not sure what happened to the TF2 forums, but some knights of justice must have taken up the cause there. Moriar's crusade had no intentions of touching the TF2 forums, so don't blame him for the TF2 forums!
