those are negative experiences.
well on the Emmanuel match you are talking about in preseason i was fluctuating from 200-800 jb even asked if that was me in the demo there was a thunderstorm and my power went out twice that evening and i appreciate you letting us use vertex as a ringer.

and the anzio match when we asked chimpanzebra was when kicken55 went to sleep since he works nights he woke up last minute and came back in to play.

your welcome about vertex, it wasn't a problem, it was preseason. we were bummed you didnt even attempt to sub yourself back in but instead pubbed.

and when kicken came back you offered to sit out so chimpanzebra could play, he said something around the lines of "no im not on your team, dont you want to play?"

ace, talub is more there for encouragement than anything brah.
Put him in a match he's sure to drop 4 for the entire thing.
But, none of us would've been in any of em if it wasn't for the dude.

Not trying to start anything, but I do agree with defiance. However, I'm going to expand the argument to pretty much 75% of the teams now and not just Taylor/Courtney.

Why can't people stick with the same team/people for more than like a season and a half?

Besides one or two scattered seasons when I joined a different team due to NoGo disbanding, I have always played with the same team/people (NoGo and now 9th RB/MINO). We've never been exceptional or considered "amazing", but I like to believe we had good teamwork (even though I suck).

All in all... stop team hopping, raging, sandbagging. You guys are all bastards.

Going by seeds alone this should be a walkover but I honestly cannot figure out how jims has won a single game. Between dbo being shitty and annoying and ck having an iq of about 32 duality and pepsi must have pretty sore backs. Cberry does have steve and his unter of doom accompanied by some flawless aim and scorch who is insanely fast and has a kar. So im giving it to cberry because of teamwork and an unter.

This is the MOTW for main. 3h is last seasons runners up and glock was my initial pick for main winners once we got the divisions settled. Ive been pretty dissapointed so far as glock is apparently losing the likes of mvbeas. But 3h has motiv weighing them down. So anyways I would watch vertex kill some people and tilljim bait some people. IM gonna say glock by 7 points. ps till is bad like really really bad. and slow

the toasters have been scrimming as of late and they also have jackson and my buddy ace. Assuming ace is sober and beas isnt cheating and dropping 1000kills i think the toasters will win by a good margin.

in taylors defense, sean and I only joined gskill when THUNDER died. Corey joined as well and Jared joined MVPz. But after 2 weeks jared reformed THUNDER and corey left, and if I had too they would have ended up dying (well so they said, and i believed) so sean and I stayed and decided to just play out the season.

I wish I could stay out of 1911 arguments. I really do. I can't though.

Defiance, buddy ol' pal... you're being a tool. Don't worry man; I'm going to explain why (I always do).

I could understand the hostility to team hopping if this was still a hyper competitive scene with professional ambitions (like it was around 2003-04) or if the league was suffering from an inordinate amount of forfeits because of team instability.

But neither is true. This is a casual community of people that have known each other for years, over a decade in some cases. People like playing with their friends. They also like to try new things; sometimes it's fun to kick off a season with a group of players you've never been on a team with yet. And from what I saw, TPG did very well this season. There appear to be 4 stable, lively divisions. Also, the admins police sandbagging situations as necessary. Narc did what was necessary and moved the team up when its talent level increased. So lay off. No harm was done to your team.

So what rational explanation could you possibly have for such hostility defiance? Your passive-aggressive, weaselly little insult toward Taylor was totally unprovoked. So what if the guy has the opportunity to pick up some players for his team. So what if he would prefer to 'manage' his own team and be a back up for it, rather than be a starter every week. And what's the big freaking deal with taking an opportunity to make your team better?

In what way does it harm you? Oh, I know... He tried to steal your Main CHAMPIONSHIP.

News flash: your team didn't have a shot at it anyway. Your competitive spirit seems a bit misguided; you shouldn't take TPG too seriously. To my knowledge, you're a relative newcomer to dod, so maybe you don't realize how casual this game really is when compared to 8 or 10 years ago. Hope you've been enlightened. Now act accordingly.

I really didn't want to make another Robert Rowe Wall of Text™. Just happens when I'm on dones and have points to make (which is very often)...

Main
Jim's| < cBerry - the addition of scorch has really helped cBerry. I just feel like this is a map they can pull the upset off on.
|3h| < GLOCK - definitely the MOTW. Definitely a close match, less than a cap.
MVPz > ~[=] - hopefully we all realized that TRAIZE is clearly their best player, since they lost without him last time.
HD glhf MINO - i expect them to be pissed we disputed bausch last time. Whatever, lets have fun and have a good match. We won't scrim, hope you won't either!

Intermediate
tA. > aimsports - subject, mensen, illusion, corpsegrinder. Pretty good for an IM team.....
-_^KS^_- > masacre - blowout
RcL < SaB` - easily since RcL's 2 best players are suspended. Take a good rcon status.
{D.D} > [L.A.B] - shifty

Open
-_^KW^_- < FurY - fury's been scrimming, i expect the upset.
[475th] > [BAW] - even if lowcarb doesnt show up, they should have it
bMMu > {HK} - goooo BAM

I got stuck playing 3rd on solitude. That match doesnt count towards mvpz w/l ratio.

I believe that the biggest problem was when he tried to bench himself in a match for a ringer. That's pretty fucked up no matter how much spin you try to put on it.

I will say defiance has been in the competitive community since 2003 maybe even earlier. We/He did lost the s25 championship by 1 point to Taylor's squad. This is not really a defend post, just throwing some facts out there. Most don't know I've been on this competitive part since 2003 as well. Just never did the 1911 part back then. defiance is a competitive person and I believe this division we are in (main), is the most competitive division within the last few years. I know taylor had no ill will towards defiance, he told me himself as I was on his team. He just wanted to know why defiance didn't like him. defiance doesn't like the "DoD Fantasy Team Manager". I understand why he doesn't like it. I see why people agree and why some don't. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and thats about it. Lets drop the damn subject and get back to predicting matches. Good Luck to every team this week!

I don't see his comment as a weaselly little insult.. It was taking a shot at someone in a prediction, something that we all have done. It is what makes the predictions worth reading. I feel that 'competitive scene' or not sandbagging is kinda lame. And even more so for the 'casual gamer.' Some guys want to be set in a division where it is EQUAL and makes the game more enjoyable for them. This past season we tried our best to make each division as competitive and equal as possible. I feel Narc and everyone did a VERY good job at doing so. We are all happy how main playoffs are looking to turn out and for the potential upsets in invite. This has been one of the better more competitive TPG seasons.. Why? Because we have NO teams sandbagging. With only 3 divisions last season it was hard to bounce teams around to make things equal. I agree with playing with friends (ex. ryanemo jaggon mexicant cypher compton matt hudson(2003?) etc.) but when i first looked at NFC's roster i said wtf kinda combination is that (fenton, marshall, biggie, linus, stile, taylub, habib.)
Seemed like it was picked out of a hat to me.. Maybe they are all friends and i am mistaken.. But when they forced their main team to disband because they were being forced to go to invite, i felt that was lame too. it seems as though they have an entire different roster now.. An "invite" caliber roster. No hate towards taylub hes a cool guy.. just stating what i see.

You guys are all bastards.
agreed 100% Ive been saying this for so long, but nobody seems to get it. Although I have been sandbagging with mvpz for the past 4 seasons lewlz! If narc wasnt such a super awsome groovy great teamate, i would have jumped ship 3 seasons ago. I just hope taylor can keeps his group of nerds together bc it is quite annoying to see his teams die and be reborn every season. Lets work on some stability guys!

wtf is wrong with all your nerds, really, taylor had nothing up his damn sleeve, oh he picked up players, say the same shit about mvpz picking up avenger or at the time tox, and jims picking up d-bo, but taylor picks someone up its some master plan to dodge invite and win main, they reformed once in preseason like before week 1 even, oh so dodging invite that way, am i right? and hell that was before we really had anyone of invite skill, yet you kids come talk trash, go outside and get some sunlight, you monitor tanning little boys

so playing week 4-8 in invite without dying is dodging and sangbagging, what alternate galaxy do i live in? I am so confused by this unnessary hate towards him.

Try and write an argument without insulting someone right off the bat, already ruins whatever point you are trying to make

THIS IS A PREDICTIONS THREAD. HAVE YOU NOT READ THEM FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I didn't insult taylub, i just called out his ACTIONS. There is a difference, maybe you can learn it one day. The point is, 2 seasons in a row, he waited til after the season started to pick up players from a higher division and put them in a lower division, so that he can win. You claim its oh so casual, but yet he wants to win so bad he benches himself for ringers and buys people video cards to play on his team.
In what way does it harm you? Oh, I know... He tried to steal your Main CHAMPIONSHIP.
Anyone who knows me knows that I know i am bad. I don't give a shit about winning Main. If we do, cool, if don't no big deal. I fully expect us to lose to MINO after a few scrims we've had. It doesn't harm me, but it does harm the league.
To my knowledge, you're a relative newcomer to dod, so maybe you don't realize how casual this game really is when compared to 8 or 10 years ago. Hope you've been enlightened. Now act accordingly.
I've been playing competitively since 2003, nice try. I just rather would play in avalanche in kalt servers for a few years because the community was being overrun by 12 year old idiots in 06/07, i figured they'd grow up eventually....(still waiting)

Shouldn't you be busy cheating in pubs ruining random people's experiences just trying to have fun and play the game?

I don't think you understood it has nothing to do with picking up good players.. It's when they were in main with an invite lineup refusing to play invite.. The second biggie and linus joined NFC i got a message saying "Please don't put us in invite..." Which was NOT going to happen..
