I didn't say anything to anyone. I was subsequently banned without any warning, neither text nor voice chat. I go to the KHH website, make an account, make a thread. No response. Thread gets deleted. I post in mogers inevitable ban thread--no response. I get banned from the forums. I don't think I was ever disrespectful in any way. So... explain to me how I'm one of these "lamers" (directed at strahd... I'm sure all of you could name a list as long as the goddamn Great Wall of China)...

Sorry bud, but you have no idea what you are getting into here. Last I checked DoD was released in 2001 (not 15 years). With all that exp under your belt come teach us a thing or two about the game that we apparently know nothing about.

If you ban features of a game, than you are inhibiting the way the game is meant to be played. Sure you pay for your own server, but acting like retards will only get you so far in this game. The only ones playing victims are the server admins who ban players for cheating. You all play dod online with other people who blow at the game and when someone knows how to play and doesn't miss easy shots, they're a "hacker". There have been a ton of LAN tournaments where people have shown just how good you can be at the game, and instead of appreciating how good those people are, you look for ways to tear them down. Good for you.

Do I know whether CharlieGiteau cheats at DoD? No. But nearly everyone here has been the victim of "cheating" accusations while trying to enjoy the game in public servers. It's not because everyone who has played the game seriously and practiced and improved over the course of years of playing is cheating in pubs.

the majority of people you are accusing of hacking have been playing this game since it was released or shortly thereafter. have been to LANs and done well. they have been playing in leagues since 2002/3 or earlier and in other games(quake, CS, tribes, etc). you spend the time to get good at a game for a few years, you tend to retain the basic skills.

you think these guys hack now? shoulda seen em back in the day when they were good. its not a thing you can "tone down" or not do. its reaction. its not something anyone whos played in leagues for a few seasons can usually stop doing without just pressing w and looking away from the monitor.

Maybe some nades or spam spots you might not know about. Perhaps teach you the difference in noise between behind wall a or wall b. Usually i get "no i know all of it, ive been playing since the game came out". Its pretty obvious you dont know, or you wouldnt be banning those who are better than you.

Next time when someone offers to give you some tips, outside of "teach me recoil" because frankly that cant be taught, you have to learn that with lots of practice. Though there are some tricks to control, most of it is just how you pull the mouse down. Take the chance to possibly learn something about this game from people who spent time to learn the quirks of dod.

Actually fuck it you know what KHH dude's I used to admin {GSR} Servers. I remember a time when I once thought all these muther f*ckers in here cheated. Until a few of us in {GSR} were invited to do a scrim (actually I take that back... first scrim I was in I remember raging so hard thinking everyone from the other team was cheating). They weren't of course. It took a bit, but I got better and have even played in the upper leagues without installing a single cheat ever. It just might be possible that people do actually check every corner, every window, every crater. I'm just saying give a ban some thought next time. I mean Ive never cheated and I'll go 20-0, 40-5 etc..and i'm not even one of the best in this community. Fuck we want to welcome new comers to this place, this game is so old and the community is the only thing that can keep it going. I don't even know if i have played in your server, just try to work with us instead of against us. No one goes into your pub with an attitude. As far as I know, we go into a pub with friends and don't say anything to anyone. Someone usually calls you out for cheating or just bans your right off the bat and that starts the cycle. I join a pub when I'm bored and want to play some DoD (because I like this game, imagine that). I've been playing this game competitively since whenever 3.1b was, so I'm reasonably fast. I don't want to "tone it down", if I see someone I'm going to shoot them, because THAT IS THE GAME. It's funny, a lot of players probably leave because the server seems empty once half the players go to spec to reassure each other "THERES NO WAY HE COULD MAKE THAT SHOT UH-UH NO WAY".

I hope this thread stays alive all day, I still have to work like 7 and a half hours, and this is the most entertaining.

Strategy for when they go into spec: take a 5-minute break and just type +forward in console. You get to relieve yourself and your guy will just run to no end. Win-win. Win.

During this ten years of playing, bad players have been banning good players. I miss good pub clans.

Ps: The criterias to be an pub admin is:
1: Be 50 years old.
2:Be able to sit in spec and talk for hours and hours.
3: Run around with a thompson/mp40 and spray at everything.
4: Be mentally retarded.
5: Be a loser in life.
6:Ban anyone that kills you more than 3 times.

I apologize if i forget anything, but i just woke up from a refreshing nap.

If I were them, I'd change my server ip and clan name. I can't believe they really have no idea how stupid they are. KHH ruins DoD, not cheaters. If you wonder why it's on its last leg, it's because of people like you.

And I bet that you rarely have issues with servers am I correct ? When you have a additude like this and a server bans you shame on them. You have additudes like just about everyone else why would they want you in their server ?

Seems this is coming down to this. I'm CAL super badass player who has been playing since the beginning. I go into pub servers and get banned. I can't tone it down these are just my natural skills. Okay your a garand/k98 guy use something auto call back and let the pubbers have some fun. You don't always need to run up your k/d ratio offer advice and be helpful. Do this and you'll normally be welcomed. Kill everyone, camp spawn, don't explain how you knew someone was hiding in that dark corner and generally act like the people in this thread. Don't be suprised when your banned from pub servers. You begin to run people off who play for fun not for competition.

no, i get banned anyway. no league player goes into your pub server spamming "FUCK YOU SHITTIES" binds while spinning around 1shotting your entire team from across the map. ok, some do. you can ban them, thats pretty obvious. the rest of the people however, come in with 0 attitude, generally voice_enable 0 on, and just run around shooting people using 1/4 of the try we have.

also, the autos? you would prefer we play with bars? thats not such a good argument.
