Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Had a fun little convo in a pub with K@R meextz yesterday.
TPG must be some "mad kids" and "they have no evidence" etc. Good luck getting this ban to stick, TPG. Aimtek has never cheated and never been banned from leagues. At least, when he talks about it.

Not going to comment about the ban but rather the thread title. Wtf happened, alex? Now you're using Placebo's gayest song ever in order to get creative momentum?

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
You and only you get to determine whether or not you want to play in this league. You want to fuck up an do stupid shit like cheat in 12mans/scrims/matches, then reap what you sow.stile wrote:What is the harm in releasing the evidence? Does TPG not want people to 2nd guess their decisions? Well shit, let me put myself/others completely in your hands in determining whether I get to play DoD for the next year. Right.
Fuck off jarrod.
That's why the adults are in the big seats, Stile. So you kids still have a league to play in.
Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
If there was another league to play in it would be a completely different matter. You make it seem like I am sympathetic to caught cheaters which isn't true at all. Anyone is capable of making bad decisions and when a decision that could potentially keep a whole team from playing happens, it is a big deal.
Your only argument is that they don't release the demos because they don't want to. I was expecting something a little bit more substantial. Quit acting like it's the end of the world for evidence to be released. Using the argument "that's how it has always been and if you don't like it leave" is child like in itself, kid.

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Seems pretty obvious to me. If you release all evidence to the public, you are going to have a bunch of ppl in the community reanalyzing the decisions and taking sides. A group of ppl say "he's not cheating" or "i cant be sure" and question the admins previous decision. If the league is releasing all the evidence to the publforay lowing them to make their own decisions, then what is the point of having AC admins. You are going to have 50 ppl, qualified/knowlesgable and not, with their own opinions and "input" leaving the admins to make a decision based on public opinion. That would be a nightmare to say the least.
In short, there's a very good reason why "it's always been that way"

How long have you played this game? Are you being serious right now? Leagues have NEVER released demos. This is the way it has been in every game. It's in the league rules that you accepted when you joined.stile wrote:If there was another league to play in it would be a completely different matter. If the owner of the demo wants to release it, they can. Complain to them.

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
That makes sense during the decision-making process, but not after. The reason demos aren't released after the fact is because it's no one's business but the parties involved. A team who records hltv and discovers a cheater should not have to worry that disputing that player or reporting them will end up with the hltv of them practicing ending up in the hands of teams they are practicing to beat.Swiss wrote:Seems pretty obvious to me. Not having retards arguing about whether each shot in a demo warranted a ban is a perk, but it's not a compelling reason to not release the demo.

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Jesus christ, it's always been policy to not release "cheater demos" not because "that's how it's always been done" but because that would be fucking retarded for a league to do. This is something that was learned way back in 2001 when STA first started banning people for cheating. It took one instance of flame war faggotry for the internalization of anti-cheat decisions to become the status quo.
The AC process is always subjective and cumulative. Even in the most blatant cheater demos, there will still be some people who choose not to see it and will cry about corruption (these people are usually the accused cheaters, or their close friends). Any league that "officially releases" AC evidence (whether it's demos, screenshots, or movies) legitimizes such retarded debates, and undermines their own authority to make AC decisions.
But, the real issue isn't so much the the "flame war" factor, but in the internalization of the investigation, as to control what information is admissible and part of the dispute process (formal evidence), and what's not (retarded forum bullshit).

Anyone who thinks TPG should be releasing the demos is wrong. It is the responsibility of the person who submitted the demo to do it. Going to have to get over that shit guys. If you don't like the rules, don't play. It's as simple as that. Yeah there is no other leagues, oh fucking well, get over it...

I really don't think this movie should have been posted until TPG made their decision. This demo was submitted to TPG therefore it's under investigation. You really should have waited to release this. Also TPG will NOT base their decision off this movie. Personally I thought there were better, more obvious shots that would have made a better movie. Once TPG makes their decision, the person with the HLTV may release it to the public, TPG will not.
So, technically, k4b00m should have been given some sort of consequence for releasing TPG evidence before a ban was instated? Sure its not a demo but he still made a video of said player using the HLTV that was currently being reviewed by TPG admins. So k4b00m should be given a two week suspension, no?Re: super! .wav down?

Now It is official
Handle: wav
Team: Team-Super
Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:917133,STEAM_0:1:1232170
Start Date: May 1 2012
End Date: May 1 2013
Rule Violation: 7.7
Reason: Cheating outside of TPG match
I'm not saying Aimtek wasn't cheating because he was in a scrim about two hours before he was banned, its more of the fact that evidence was released before an admin banned said player.

Hi! I'm Euro! Some of people around should know me by now, as i play a lot of 12 man and i always try to get a scrim vs american ppl! So, here we go! This guy knowned as max on steam friends was always cheating in 12 man mixes under the name of "K@R meetx". At the 1st time i didnt noticed nothing since i was thinking that was cuz of my ping or something! But then it turns on constantly, but i didn't still say nothing cuz i might be misunderstood as i'm new in this community. Anyway i'm glad to know i was right thinking...and i can say further that are many more around here playing with 40 million digit accounts! For the record, when i played in some 12 man mix in his team i was making team with him, and he always saying @ vent "blablabla, you are awful" and many more things that doesn't matter... So, now i can see WHO REALLY IS AWFULLLLLLLL.
Some nice talks @ vent!
americandude : "wtf. this guy is cheating"
americandude : "he is dfn cheating"
b1ohazard : "LOL! he is cheating, but why you guys let people like him play?"
americandude : "nevermind, he doesnt have team, he only plays 12 man"
b1ohazard : "OK"

99% of the time you can tell when things are fishy after one watch over of the demo you can make a decision of whether there is anything there. Its really obvious for the most part. Especially when people trace and just play really unusual. aimtec cheats and he is always holding out on his hltv and claims its not recording, typically when ten people call one out he's cheating.

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Wait a sec, he goes by "max pm me for 12man" on steam friends? Is this the kid who keeps fucking sending me a PM (even though we aren't friends on steam) to 12man? I blocked this faggot last week because after repeated requests to not pm me on steam, he kept doing it. Must be a fucking retard. BANHAMMER!

Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Never once made a statement close to "If you don't like it, get out". If you CHEAT you will get banned. We don't witch hunt or make banning someone personal. The AC's who do work, do a good job and take what they do seriously in the ways that we need.stile wrote:If there was another league to play in it would be a completely different matter. I speak for me on this part (not for TPG, etc, etc) when I say I don't take doing my job personally. We find cheaters, and we don't care if it ruins your team or if you all think it's a "bad decision". The reason you aren't an admin is because you take it personally and you listen to all the pitchfork and torchbearers running around this community. You should be happy your admins give a damn about their job because I remember a time when they didn't and pissed all over the community. You want the evidence, you find the person who submitted it to us and ask them to release it. We as TPG will not be doing that. I don't understand how you can't wrap your head around that.

Why? When people are 12manning or scrimming, there are others in vent. If there's a 12man going on, you have 11 people who can confirm the guilty party.rehpyc wrote:alex kirk wrote:2) You don't need status screenshots as they can tell SteamID through the demos alone.This.lolinus wrote:You should definetly need rcon status if you're going to ban someone, just because he's on a steam account dosent need to be that the owner is playing.

This regards .wav ban and actually it was k4b00m's team who recorded the HLTV as the scrim was played in his team server. Re: Goodnight, sweet prince.
Yes, it wasn't a match but it was on a server running the tpg config. The hltv was recorded by devil^ to show that .wav was cheating in a scrim. The demo was then sent into TPG as a dispute against .wav cheating. So that means that the hltv was evidence and at no point should any of the contents in the hltv be shown to the public. The video of him cheating was released before the final call on whether or whether not he would be banned. Therefore why is said video maker not being suspended for the release of evidence BEFORE a verdict was announced? It shouldn't matter if he's on the team and he can do whatever he wants with the hltv, he still broke the rule of leaking out evidence before he should have. Also, pat is on devil^, you would think that a current tpg admin would know the rules and speak up and tell k4b00m that he shouldn't release the video until the admins make their decision.Any player disputed in a TPG match cannot release his/her demos to the public until a dispute has been closed by TPG. Any player who does, will be suspended for two weeks and if found cheating, this will be added on to your suspension.
It's okay I guess.

He haven't asked anyone to make the video. He didn't made the vid on behalf TPG and didn't mentioned TPG on it either. As far as I know he haven't asked permission to anyone at TPG to make it as well. And in my opinion he shouldn't bother. Given that the HLTV was recorded at this server the HLTV belongs to him and his team, in my opinion. So, his team later submitted the HLTV for analysis.scorch- wrote:If TPG hadn't made the call already, he shouldn't have posted the video. Now, speaking on behalf TPG .wav got banned after we reviewed the HLTV sent and it had nothing to do with the video, which I believe Chris made only for fun and for the crowd at 1911 hungry for e-drama. Lastly, just to make it clear my quoted answer above wasn't in TPG's behalf, it was just my opinion.

The video contained footage from the HLTV used to ban .wav. Therefore, while the TPG admins were watching the HLTV, they came across said points in the HLTV that were depicted in the video that was released. The point you're making is invalid because the rule doesn't say anything about the owner of a 12man demo. In fact, everybody in this thread saying TPG is being ridiculous for not releasing the demos should really just be yelling at Chris. If he's the one who submitted the demos, he can give them to you. SO COME ON, CHRIS. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?Thebest wrote:Yes, it wasn't a match but it was on a server running the tpg config.

I like how you couldn't even formulate your own thought, you let a colorful gif do it for you.CraftyDus wrote:I love it when you deride people by calling them kids..Ken wrote:You kids woke up ready to fail today. I applaud you.

I actually just downloaded the demos James posted and re-uploaded them to a site that isn't hosted on a site using a geocities template and gave that link in a TPG ticket.
