Pretty much the only time I smoked salvia I thought I was being 'reborn' like in the Matrix. I was trying to claw my way out of the pod that I was trapped in and had no idea who I was with. After a few minutes when I came down I was drenched in sweat. Not my favorite experience.

My favorite one of those videos is, "Writing a Letter to Congress on Salvia"
But yeah... that's by far my least favorite psychedelic out there. My two experiences with it left me with no visuals or even a mental high, I just became very hot, and couldn't move for a good 2 minutes while I sat there and freaked out thinking that my brain was literally frying because of how hot I was.

James, that's because you didn't pass the threshold into a hallucinogenic state. You either smoked it the wrong way (anything other than a bong is too brutal on your lungs and doesn't let you get enough of a hit), not enough, or low quality. The most superficial effects of salvia are sweating, laughing, nausea, stomach heat, and/or feeling like a weight is pressing you down.
All of that shit sucks and is a reason why I never want to do salvia again. But if you smoke enough of it and properly it is a really intense psychadelic, which is another reason why I don't want to do salvia ever again. It's not recreational by any means, imo.
I saw the "driving on salvia" video and thought it was kinda funny. But now I think these videos have to be fake. Who the hell sits around and smokes salvia for fun this much?

I smoked this shit 20xx back in college and I was looking at ducks on a window and all the sudden I was playing duck hunt in another universe. After I came back to I realized I had picked up the bong and slammed it into the ground. Needless to say I never touched the shit again.

Smoked it and felt like a million bricks dumped on me and i was just stuck and thats not what im looking for. Isn't it suppose to be burned like an incent? I know when i bought it (purple sticky salvia 40X) they gave me like a whole warning sheet! DO NOT SMOKE THIS!!!! and its not on the market in many states anymore.

they tell you not to smoke it because its illegal to sell for human consumption, not for incense use.

The only thing you could possibly compare it to is DMT and even then DMT is far superior.

DMT Is amazing, I went on a long adventure to extract the pure crystals from a local plant (Mimosa hostilis) and after a about a month I had the pure product.
It's intense, and honestly even for an experienced psychedelic user, it's pretty scary. The onset is quick and intense, the only thing that keep me together for those 15~20 minutes was that I knew it would be a short trip and that I was still around friends that would keep me level headed.
Has anyone around here done any mescaline? I live in an area where the cactus is very common and a friend introduced me into a very simple method to make it into an ingestable form. It's a very very long trip 8-12 hours, but it's very calm and relaxing, and doesn't leave you with that edgy metallic feel that you get from LSD(and mushrooms depending on the variety)
