Question about Banned Cheaters....

Why are they allowed back in the league? Does anyone actually think these tools wont do it anymore?

I would hope a year long ban and some humiliation that comes with the territory of being a known cheater would make them think twice about doing it again.

Not to mention if you ban someone forever for cheating then it is more likely they will try and rejoin the league under another account because they have nothing to lose.

It has always and will always be a year if you are caught cheating on your first offense. Us admins (and admins of the past) believe that everyone should get a second chance and during that year you hopefully learn not to cheat in DoD.

If you don't then you take a permanent vacation from league play.

Ya I remember you, I was the leader of Maine Event. You were on our team for a while before you pzed out for football or something. I live in South Portland now but ya I was in Gorham before at USM. Where you residing now?

Live in Hollis, work in Sopo. Yea i pretty much stopped all competitive gaming for a while, had no time. Then COD got me back into it on consoles, went to some big events... now im back to DOD just for some fun.

Consul is way to easy, plus way more cheaters since theres not a whole lot of security. Take example MW2 for the PS3. I was at level 33 and got automatically bumped to level 70 with everything unlocked, because someone hacked and modded the server. Stick with PC, its way better. If any cod games I play now, Ill stick to Mw1 and Cod2.

It kind of was yea... I just saw the expiration dates on all the others and assumed cheating was a perm ban ie Dustin Young.
Its like, cheat...1 yr ban... just dont send your demos, 6 months, then return... Kinda lame, but I guess with such a small community left, gotta keep numbers.

The ease of getting a new steam ID has made cheating more prevalent. Also for whatever reason people are friends with known cheaters, and usually keep quiet about it, which just ultimately degrades the quality of the league and game itself. Until cheaters feel as shunned as they were back in 2002-2005 with CAL then it will not allow this game to grow.
