Dear Golfers
Not sure how many of you all golf but I am an avid golfer and I thought this was insanely cool.

Re: Dear Golfers
i play weekly atleast once. it has a good combinations of drinking/smoking, competitive playing and the outdoors and really a fun way to spend 5 hours of a day.knockout wrote:You should talk to scorch. He's 78 years old and loves golfing.
Re: Dear Golfers
Amazing! That one's going on the bucket list for sure.
Re: Dear Golfers
I try to play at least once a week, I'm not that good but it's enjoyable for me...mostly for the beer cart girls. Best I've ever shot was an 85 couple weeks back.

Re: Dear Golfers
Been there, played that. Probably won't play it again. Exceptional course but there are too many good courses in the northwest that aren't nearly as expensive.
I'm excited to get on the 2015 US Open Course: Chambers Bay

Yeah the floating hole looks pretty badass.
Dan where do you play areound here? I usually play at Buena, but Saticoy golf course is a cheapie course with surprisingly great greens. Olivas is a bit pricey, and being close to the beach makes the wind a biotch!

Re: Dear Golfers
I've been playing at buena. I paid 54$ for the monthly unlimited range/cheap rates deal and have been going after work and on the weekends. The twilight riding rate is 12$ but the course is really banged up. I think it's 16$ to play Olivas twilight, so I was going to hit that up sometime soon.Sp|dEr wrote:Yeah the floating hole looks pretty badass.

Damn i didn't realize the twilight riding rate was that cheap... I may have to hit that up soon for both courses...scorch- wrote:I've been playing at buena. Have you played at Soule Park, or Elkins ranch at all? If not I would suggest those, they are a great break from the flatland courses in Ventura.
The other place I enjoy, although I havent played there since they re did it, was riverridge. Really quite pricey but some fun and challenging holes.

Re: Dear Golfers
I've played Soule Park and Elkins Ranch a couple times each, but back when I was in high school or before then. If you liked Elkins Ranch, you might visit Mountain View in Santa Paula. That was a decent course as well.Sp|dEr wrote:Damn i didn't realize the twilight riding rate was that cheap... I think the twilight riding rate if you don't have the 54$/month card is like 25$. It's actually a great deal if you play there a lot. The unlimited range use is worth it if you go to the range like 5+ times a month. I'm not sure how much you play though.

Re: Dear Golfers
Yeah I have heard Mountain View is a good course although I haven't got out there myself.
I wish I could fully utilize the monthly membership, but I know I would just not be able to get out that much with a kid on the way.
I should get out there now before the kid comes though lol.

I tend bar at a country club that MJ is a member of. Last time I saw him he said, "My man". I'm cool. That course looks sweet especially that mountain course. Ima 9 handicap.
