I never even said that it was, I just pointed out that NONE of us are playing games for 2 million dollars. It's funny to me that you don't know me, have never talked to me, and only see me talking to people that post here, yet you have this whole persona worked out in your head of who i am.

LoL isn't the top game in the world, in fact more games of dota 1 were played last year than in the history of LoL.
There is a 2million dollar prize pool because Riot thinks that's the best way to generate/maintain interest in their product.

I'm not sure why you think shootmania is supposed to be strategic, it's a game where you run around shooting people with rockets and lasers.

A few games here and there. After having played dota and hon, I didn't want to waste my time learning new skill names and items and all that garbage only to come back to dota 2. I forget what it was called, but the battle mode with minimal creeps and multiple cap points seemed fun.

Mad? nope. Speaking the truth? yep. You played dod last season and you played earlier this season, don't act like you haven't played in years. You know damn well you set bromley up to ask how much money you made playing Dod when you asked him the dumb question of "When was the last time you played dod for 2 million?" so you could post your cool Dod resume and your cool CPL wins saying you made money, it's what you do, it's what you always do, try and act like you are gods gift to this game and prove to everyone that you are above them.

Nobody ever claimed to be playing the game for 2 million, he simply stated that if the game was as terrible as you say, it wouldn't be hmmmmmm, the top game in the world or have a 2 mill prize pool. Lol does take skill and there is lots of strategy involved, unlike shootmania or whatever that terrible game is. fuck your face.

Uh I've played against and personally met scorch and have never known him to talk like that. Pull more shit out of your ass.

LoL is the game that I played until I was decent enough to play HoN and DotA. Its large prize pool is the product of thousands of idiots wasting their money on skins and runes. Play whatever game you like, but the prize pool does not prove that it's a great game.

Your justification for it being a good game is a $2 million prize pool...ok..hmm..Sooo Dota 2 just had a $1.6 million dollar tournament two months ago...Hellooooooolo? and they had a $1 million tourney last year..It's backed by Valve/Steam and now Weta workshop, the main creative force behind Lord of the Rings and one of the best effects houses in the world, 2nd to ILM.

And it's going to be $2.5-$3 million tourney next year....

moral of the story? Dota 2 > LoL and vpaz is a fucking scrub

everytime I play anyone in dota 2 that plays LoL, they're 10/10 really bad. And I have friends who love LoL and dislike dota 2 because its "too hard". From my experience LoL players just suck.

And in the end LoL is just a watered-down ripoff of Dota 1

hmm idk zack and i played dota 1 back in the day, we even had a team in cal, but i feel LoL has more of a "strat" base to it than dota. in fps terms i feel like LoL is more like cs and dota is more like dod

i gave dota a serious shot. yes it is hard, but the thing i disliked the most about dota is how it takes a fucken hour to build boots. Or ANYTHING in that fuckin game. Shit takes forever in LoL as it is.

Last-hitting 2-3 creep waves = boots. Something you should realize about the difference between the games is that in DotA, there is an extra cost associated with big items. Big items in DotA are less cost-efficient than cheaper items, whereas in LoL the bigger items are MORE cost-efficient. DotA taxes an item that does the same thing as 3 cheaper items to compensate for the fact that it occupies only one slot, whereas LoL discounts the price of expensive items, presumably to compensate for the fact that you need to delay buying anything in order to farm those items. The problem with the LoL system is that it creates much bigger timing windows and disrupts the continuity of game play.

Underfarmed support heroes in dota get to survive on the most cost-efficient items in the game, while the carries and semi-carries that farm a lot of gold have bigger, but less cost-efficient items. This means that when a carry farms up a big item, it has some impact, but not as much as in a game like LoL, because he has to pay a tempo tax AND an efficiency tax to have a one-slot item with an effect.

It's the most played game in the world largely in part because it's free and has a very small learning curve. Yes, HoN is now free (adopted LoL's business model and has gotten considerably worse) and was free in beta, but was p2p at some point so was less accessible. Just because 30 million people play it and it has the largest prize pool, as many people have mentioned, does not make it a good game sadly. LoL is much more forgiving for newer players considering you have a recommended list of items, free tps, no gold loss on death, no denying creeps, extra summoner skills (escape abilities), etc, so people naturally gravitate towards that. Most of the people who try HoN and DotA2 just can't handle the huge learning curve and the toxic community. This game also destroys friendships LOL.

Side note: If you can't manage to farm a pair of boots in at least 10-15 minutes, let alone an hour, you're probably just not very good. It's not the game's problem.

That being said, neither community is going to concede that the other game is better, obviously, so grow up. You play the games you like.
