Yes, i'm sure people were like OH YAY, lets go outside and die. Trees fall onto houses, there was tons of fires, a man had a heart attack while being evacuated. I doubt these people wanted / tryed to die. You are just a straight up shitbag, good bye.
Those people were also told to evacuate their homes well before the storm hit. By not listening and choosing to be ignorant of the force & risks the storm would bring, those people gambled their lives. They lost in the game of Darwinism.

I'm sure life has sucked for those affected by the storm, but I've enjoyed the past 2 days off work due to Wall Street being closed. The weather here in Cali has been nice~

Wow are you serious? Do you think everyone one of those people died because of not evacuating or being irresponsible? Are you that serious to be like LOLUMAD SHIT SUCKS FOR YOU BUT MAN THESE PAST TWO DAYS ARE AWESOME. I'M ENJOYING THIS.

AND YOU KO, you fat fuck, you're going to die of diabetes and obesity by the time your 40 I hope you decided to change that by 10 years bro. I'm sure you are going to see it coming.

I hope both of you die from lightning striking during a random sun storm. Because it's your fault for walking outside randomly.

I've had friends down the street who lost EVERYTHING and thankfully they are alive and well. You stupid fucks.

And I thought I was retarded.

No need to worry, Polak, we don't really get lightning storms down here in sunny San Diego. A minor earthquake may cause an apple to fall from the tree and strike me on the head, though.

I am kind of jealous of the waves Jersey Shore experienced.. the ones I rode the past 2 days weren't exciting.

Don't worry, you're still the retarded one.

isn't this San Diego?

The human cost of these large scale disaster events is obvious.
Seeing all those nice yachts and large oceanfront homes all boogered up, the material cost of this storm is also staggering.

Thirty. Nine. People. Do you know where trees won't fall on you? In basements. In places without hurricane-force winds.

Are people always responsible for their own death in this crazy world? No, but when you know a hurricane is coming for a week in advance and you stay in a place where it's dangerous to be, and then someone dies... yeah you're dumb. It's like saying, hey we're going to release great white sharks in your pool and you're like "well i really like having just my feet in the pool, sharks probably won't come all the way to the edge".

I never said there was people who didn't do dumb stuff, I'm sure there was, there is always people who don't listen. But, there were plenty of people that did everything right and still died. Fatboy Ko is just being an ignorant fuck and scorch pretty much agreeing with him is proving he is an ignorant fuck as well. I guess that's to be expected by retards from California who get an earthquake every once in awhile and never experienced something as serious as a hurricane.
I mean, you have no argument other than "hurricanes are really fucking serious but if i stay indoors i should be safe." It's not like we're talking about unavoidable damage to property here (I feel bad for the people who lost their homes), we're talking about people (probably like yourself based on your responses) that chose to stay in the path of a fucking hurricane. Your whole argument is ass backwards because ko and I are both saying that HURRICANES ARE SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS. If you don't treat nature with the respect it deserves, you can get seriously dead. Just because millions of people ignored this common fucking sense doesn't mean the people who died weren't just as dumb as you.

Earthquakes are a risk that everyone who lives in California knowingly accepts. We know that they're unavoidable (if you want to live here) and unpredictable and that they can cause cases of extreme death. Hurricanes are not earthquakes.

Perhaps you missed many of my original sarcastic jabs about the hurricane. Ask mogers about them just in case; he seemed to have his blood boil over them. And I hope you realize I am from California. Here we have to deal with earthquakes, constant fires, and Mexicans crossing the border and driving our state economy down. The last of the three is probably the only one I don't care to deal with.

Believe me, my heart is in shambles over the hurricane. My dream was to move to Jersey and star on the Jersey Shore with Snooki. What am I suppose to do now? :[

I mean... if your entire house collapses into your basement, you probably should have left the fucking area. Your reading comprehension skills are pretty strong though, at least you can make it through one sentence per post.

Yes, everyone in all of the states effected by Sandy should of took a trip to other states untill Sandy passed by, makes sense.
What do you know? A heavy majority of the deaths were due to drowning, which would be in the areas told to evacuate or had a high probability of flooding, trees falling on people outside in areas where people were told to stay inside, and carbon monoxide poisoning with idiots who'd run a generator in their entirely closed up home.

Living on the NJ coast, I honestly didn't think it would be this bad. We were hit by hurricane Irene last year and it was suppose to be a monster storm like Sandy but it really didn't do much. So many people were all in the same mindset "oh it won't be anything just like Irene.." Yes, a lot of people were forced to evacuate but never did. That is their own fault for sure. But there were many places that were not told to evacuate that were absolutely decimated. My aunt lost a house, my uncle lost a house, my moms lagoon house and my uncles lagoon house were both flooded. Something to keep in mind is that New Jersey doesn't regularly get hit with hurricanes. The storm was actually WORSE than predicted. Yes, many people did die from their own mistakes and I guess it's easy to sit there and make asinine remarks when you're 3,000 miles west enjoying 70-80 degree weather. One thing for sure next Hurricane, hopefully in another 20 years.... People will understand and respect what previously happened and take the proper precaution.

I don't know, maybe I just have a different perspective because I've seen waves from a storm several thousands of miles away crashing on top of piers and shit like that. of course it's easy to look back and say i definitely would have left, but i don't know, it just seems dumb to risk your life even if you end up leaving the area for a few days once a year when a hurricane comes through. it's not like new jersey is such a great place that you would never want to leave it and take a trip to chicago or st louis or something.
