Yes, it was free and it was cheaper. I don't remember exactly how much it cost though.

Yes, I have that package. It's called anthology pack. I bought it to play cs back when I was 13 years old and ended up enjoying dod more lol.

I believe at the time you just entered you half life key in steam and dod was allready included.
Probably so beta players that allready played dod through half life would switch to 1.0.

The seperate release in box seemed so pointless.
Because 1 year earlier I got half life (hl, dod, cs and maybe even more )for less than the dod retail was being sold at.
Maybe that's why it's rare.

I used a keygen to install steam originally... then my key stopped working so I went and snapped a pic of one at target.
