there's no refuting that the community has continually allowed particular individuals to play in 12mans despite being regular cheaters, but that just means that jb will still be allowed to play in 12mans. if he was getting tired of playing against these individuals, he should have taken the high road and simply not played when they were.

there's no "point to be made" here, and cheating is not the answer. I agree the state of the community has been pathetic for the past few years, but that's when you simply make a choice in whether you like to be a part of it or not. for those of us who've been around for nearly a decade or more, we have to understand and accept that the game is ran by a new generation. well.. not entirely, cause thunder keeps robbing those kids of titles~

Played against Josh on Lan and online and can say he's actually a way better player on Lan. In my opinion the thing that makes dod so fun is the competitive nature of it. I always felt a sense of motivation when I thought someone cheated. I'd play extra hard just to try to own that guy. Sorry you felt you had to cheat to try to get one up on them. Hope to still see you at Vegas if it happens. GG

this is josh brown from highball right? was a good guy when i met him at CPL. cheating is pretty ghey but in a 12 its like meh. seems like he doesnt care either so no harm done. i kinda take bewton's approach about hackers tho... if ur playing a hacker it does motivate u, certain members of the french community hack, could waste time busting them but it just makes me feel better about beating them xD

"Certain" members. Fuck that.....why not bust them and stop them from ruining the french name? I have known WAY MORE french cheaters than I have legit players. Fix that please.

You really think I care about the prize money? If I go I will probably end up on a tpg main team there to have fun. That's the whole reason I said what I did. This lan to me isn't about the money but about the memories. That's why I believe people would actually act right and stop blatently cheating if they had any REAL thought of attending this lan. Believe me I understand how small the community is, I only played 3 matches this season so I myself am never around but I def show up to lan. Bottom line: cheating makes a fun game unfun and the whole point to playing is to have fun. Its not like ryan cheating was a big secret, we all know he does it from time to time. There is no excuse for it, I don't care how loaded you are.

I think these statements are the reasons JB is taking a lot of heat.. It's not like he was caught cheating in a match.. It was a 12man.. One thing I can always say about 12mans is that 90% of this community is a lot better in them opposed to matches. And jaggon and ryanemo being banned for life? is news to me.. Pat no recoiling? Some of these accusations are kind of silly.. But I guess it's like TPG being PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE.

Apologies for misunderstanding your point; it just seemed a little like you were saying there is a justifiable point to be made with Josh's choice to cheat, despite you not really agreeing that any cheating is "justified." I agree that it's sad that the community chooses to allow quite a few known cheaters to still join in on 12mans, but it's just one of a few other reasons why I've never cared to 12man or pug scrim. Who was it that all cheated together as a pug against another team (was it against super?) and got banned? At the time, a lot of the community praised those individuals.

Jared, I think at one time Corey and Ryan were banned for "life" for continually rejoining CAL aliased while banned for cheating.

On a serious note, does anyone know why my dod all the sudden wont fit in the screen of my monitor? I all the sudden have 2 inches of black on both sides of my game and its only in dod. I dunno if this update has anything to do with it but its very fucking annoying.

Put -stretchaspect into your launch options for dod. I believe you can take out -nofbo now as well unless you get the random flickering/white boxes.

i dunno why everyone all of the sudden needs launch options. You can choose widescreen or normal in the video options just like before.

They apparently fixed it later. You can take out the -nofbo or w/e it was now if you are wanting the letter boxing. the only launch option I have now is forcing resolution, which is probably unnecessary, but i do it anyway. I like to live on the edge.
