Gift
I was recently given a G-Shock watch as a gift.
If you're not familiar with this brand of watches they are very nice. Price ranges from $99 to God knows what. I have an all black GA-100 G-Shock. I've read the manual two times and I still feel like a mentally challenged hippopotamus.
I'd like to know if any of you all know or can direct me in the right path to gaining knowledge about this watch.

Re: Gift
This is a post about a watch. Don't bring some bullshit into it. If you think I still cheat go submit an hltv demo and stop complaining.

Re: Gift
If only someone could have invented some sort of global system of interconnected computers that could somehow be used as a repository of knowledge. Maybe even create some sort of system within that database in which you could type related words and it would return with some sort of result. It's a shame I've never heard of such a thing though. Might I suggest trying your local public library? I figure that's why we employ librarians these days.

Simmer down gentlemen.
Miller, I looked on google. I'm not that dumb. I found a manual but nothing really explained what each watch setting is for. Therefore my post.
Now, once again. Any guys know how to work this shit in simple detail?

Google "GA-100 G-Shock manual". First link gives you a manual.Stamp wrote:Simmer down gentlemen.

How does this not explain all the functions of your watch in detail?
Now as payment for my services, I'll take that watch.
Re: Gift
In all honesty its a simple low bells and whistles design. That is why G-shocks are at the cheaper end of the spectrum for wrist top functionality. Compared to Suunto it has no internal menu layout, which means that all of the functions are face driven by holding a button for a few seconds. You're making it way harder than it needs to be. It isn't a GPS nor an ABC. Its a typical watch and use it as such, without trying to answer the questions of the cosmos.

Re: Gift
It was more a question of " Do these watches do anything special?"
I read through the manual and it helped the first time but I was wondering if there were any tricks or things.
But now I see what you are saying. It's a quality watch but doesn't have as near the technology it could.
