Thinking of getting into paintballing

Post by labotic »

I've been talking to some friends who paintball and was thinking of getting into the sport.

Some questions I have is what would be a good first marker to get?
How much is usual to pay for paint and other accessories?
Why do you play paintball?

Thanks in advance.

all solid information.

But price wise it all depends on how serious youre looking to get with the sport. if youre just going out and playing in the woods with buddys or heading to a field everynow and then... prolly $150-200 for a marker depending on your preference / accessories. If you're talking about competing in pro-level... minimum $500 for a marker. I haven't bought anything in a long time so these prices are based on a few years back so please take with a grain of salt. But it really all does boil down to what level of play you want to be in.

I'm serious. Dyelife is huge into paintball, and I think that's what his alias refers to. He can help you with all of that, I'm sure

These prices seem accurate. Paint is pretty much the same price across the board. It's a fun ass sport, man. Honestly, similar to what you do in here/Counter strike, but just IRL. Played for about a year seriously. I aced a team one time, nothing in life has felt better...even vagine.

Would be sick to play with a GoPro on your mask. I regret never doing that.

ive been using the dye dm series for a long time and ive owned a few ego they are both great markers.
but be prepared to spend around 1100 bucks with the hopper tank and marker.

some good paint to use is marbalizer or evil dont be one of those guys that buys that crap from academy in the white bucket it tends to chop

EDIT: you said good first marker. the dye reflex series has some cool markers and its alot cheaper than the dm's

You're about 6 years late.

Anyways, if you really want to get into it, get something cheap like an 06 ego or dm6. Great guns that aren't worth crap anymore.

I've been talking to some friends who yo-yo and was thinking of getting into the sport.

Some questions I have is what would be a good first yo-yo to get?
How much is usual to pay for the string and other accessories?
Why do you yo-yo?

Thanks in advance.

Go to Dave and Busters. Get enough tickets to win the Yo-Yo (~400 tickets), string included. Depending on how good you are at arcade games this should cost between $20-$40. Other accessories...you might want to get a wrist and/or elbow brace for your dominant yo-yo'ing arm, as you will find this sport is taxing on the joints (Glucosamine helps, as well). Finally, I yo-yo because when I'm rocking the cradle, man, that's the only time I feel free.

Don't you need a parent to get into Dave and Buster's? My parents disapprove of my Yo-Yo lifestyle, so I doubt I will get their consent. SO MANY OBSTACLES TO PURSUING MY PASSION ALREADY.
