I just left the Star Trek Into Darkness session and I'm still in awe given the grandiosity and magnitude the film delivers. Also, this dude, Benedict Cumberbatch is gonna win an Oscar very soon. Dude is insanely talented.

Same here, never a trek fan, always a big SW fan. But I thoroughly enjoy good movies and the first Star Trek made in 09, was a really, really good movie. I'm eagerly awaiting this movie as Iron Man 3 let me down. Thanks Cass, makes me even more excited!

Semi off topic. The seats in our IMAX are fucking terrible. They're too close together (as in front to back, not side to side), so you can't move your feet/legs without kicking the person in front of you in the back of the head. They're about as comfortable as the back seat of a PT Cruiser. Is this the norm, or did they just cheap out on ours?

Probably got cheap lol. The IMAX theatre near my house is huge. Seats are spread apart plenty and I can pretty much extend my legs all the way out.

Yeah, An1. I knew him already from the Sherlock series. I started watching it after it was announced that both him and Martin Freeman would have roles in the Hobbit adaption. I also watched that boring Spielberg movie, War Horse, where he plays a small role too. Anyway, you should've watch him in Star Trek, he is developing very fast!

YEAH MITCH! Glad you mentioned it, this movie is going to be awesome. In the trailer, there is a good scene where he crouches and touch the floor before flying that really reminds Neo from Matrix haha... Other than that, I'm sure that his movie will finally bring Zack Snyder the recognition he deservers (he kinda lost credibility after that Sucker Punch shit lol).

It really depends on the theather. I remember that I watched Watchmen while I was on NYC and the screen was something absurdly huge. The size of 3 floor bulding I'd say, I remember that there were even escalators for to the people who where in the upper part of the theather. Seats were also really cozy. I'm 6'5 tall and I had tons of space to stretch out my legs everytime I wanted!

Just saw Into Darkness the other night with Gomi|excessum, really really good

Waaaay better than Iron Man 3. Different movies I know, but production value, scale, flow, pace, story, everything was 10x better. Shane Black has no business making summer cg tent-pole movies in 2013.


JJ is the man. Even into darkness has a lot of elements that you'd traditionally find in a SW movie. A lot of the hanger scenes, comedic quips, score and diloague reminded me of a SW movie...he's a perfect fit, I think he's going to kill SW, cant wait

Also great in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy... but that movie is just amazing in general

My grandpa grew up with William Shatner. True story. Did my family inspire the Kirk name? Don't know. My grandpa says he did, but can't really prove that beyond the fact that he has photographs with the Shatner family (he was best friends with one of the sisters initially). Regardless, it's a strong ice breaker when I'm in those situations where we go around the room and have to say interesting things about ourselves.
