The courts told me I'm not allowed to watch U-17 sporting events. I have to stick to U-21 or the pros~

try winning a stanley cup first, then caring for soccer, AM I RITE?

Actually the USA team needs a new coach, but we could probably beat canada still. I would think.

First match point in nearly a quarter century made me

I think Bradley is proving he's reached the apex of his coaching abilities. Our defense went from miserable in the 2010 World Cup to a pathetic abortion in the 2011 Gold Cup.

Even our best defenders are utter shit.

i cant believe they went on to score 2 quick goals and then lose 4 2. if dempsey scored that strike though in the second half who knows what could of happened. but usa needs a defense, its sad to see thats our weakest attribute. im shocked to say america has a good midfield

Didn't we almost hire Jurgen Klinsmann at one point?

i never herd that mogers. plus i dont know if thats allowed in fifa rules. i know for a fact once you played for a national team you cant play for another one, but i dont know if that involves coaching. he did a great job with germany, but germany is a team that has players from all over the world, they must as well be named the international club of europe (then again they have Brazilian players aswell). would he help america? its possible but they would still have a terrible defence, as that is once of germanys weakness aswell

Some famous managers to coach multiple international sides.

Also, our defense is always disgraceful. Not because they can't defend, but because our country lacks defenders that can handle the ball. Look at mexico's fullbacks handle the ball when they recover it and compare to how our fullbacks do the same. The US has a lot of defenders that end up clearing the ball to other team because they lack the confidence to retain control in their own end of the field. When you give the other team possession like that without them having to earn it, it adds up to more defensive mistakes in the end. That game was so bad because their backup (Lehigh?) gave Mexico so many onside positions and just played awfully in general.

Coaching doesn't really matter I don't think for FIFA rules.

I really wish we had giving Klinsmann a shot. I think people in the U.S. Soccer Federation he would bolt to Germany if the chance occurred, but I don't think so. He lives in the States now with his family and he really wanted to coach the U.S. team. I think the knock against Klinsmann would have been the dramatic shift in the team's strategy.

scorch those were enjoyable wiki articles, I never followed much on coaching and managers. I am aware of their importance though.
i also completely agree with what your talking about with regards of their defense. as soon as a defender is by the ball, the american players just slash the ball and clear it out, if they took a second to get a nice thru to donavan or demphsey it would of been a totally different game. all mexico had to do was get through the mid field, that was their hardest task.
