Bachelor Pad Ideas (nsfw)

Hey guys. It's been about 5 months since I have moved into my own place and am more than settled in at this point. I now have the time and energy to start adding pieces to this place to make it less plain. I would like to make this thread a place to share pictures, links and ideas of cool and stylish things that could really spruce up the place and make it more enjoyable to hang out in by myself, myself and my girlfriend, or a small group of friends. The things i already have that i do not really need to purchase or upgrade are:

vizio big screen HD tv (42 inches), with matching entertainment center and a standard toshiba dvd player.


super comfortable and nice 1 seater chair. Mine is actually a royal blue color cushion with an off white color bamboo frame


a [temporary] small beat up couch that sits 2 comfortably, and i am very much looking to replace it asap

A framed piece of art work displaying most of the beatles album covers (i am a huge classic rock/beatles fan)

There are a few things that i am for sure looking to purchase in the near future.

COUCH
This is probably my most pressing need, since my current couch is super old and was only meant to get me by until i have enough time and money to pick up a proper one. I am open to all different stylez and sizes, so any ideas/pictures/links to stuff you think looks cool would be greatly appreciated. My price range is about 500-1000 but i obviously would like to try my best to stay on the lower half of that budget.

WALL ART
This, along with the couch, is at the top of my list of needs and i will be trying to find something asap. I currently am looking to add 2 pieces of wall art. I have 2 large walls that would be perfect to add a large and WIDE piece of canvas art work. i am targeting 2 different types of styles for each of these pieces. the first type i want to purchase is an abstract and colorful piece of artwork. here are a couple examples of things that i am looking at. and for the record, i do plan on getting something that is a 3-5 piece set that goes together as 1 piece just like these pictures i am about to post.

The next piece i want is something a little harder to describe... but it is architectural based. something along the lines of cool angles of awesome looking buildings or bridges. something similar to this picture here (minus the child ofcourse)



I possibly want to get this one in black and white. anything similar to this kind of picture is what i am going for. here are a couple more examples:

This is already something i have decided to buy. I just think i want to pick up a couple other things first before i add this to my place. i just think its an awesome thing to have and would be a lot of fun to mess with.

These are a few of the ideas that i have at the moment. If there is anything else that you guys can suggest that are along the lines of what i have here, i would appreciate it very much. If possible, please include links to things that i will be able to purchase them. If you don't have links, at least try your best to provide a price and/or where i can pick these up.

Also welcome are anything else you guys think would go well in a bachelor pad or man cave that is classy and stylish. This can be anything, from wall art to furnature to statues to electronic stuff.... my mind is very open. Thank you all for your advice and reps to all who give solid and serious responses.

I have a Marylin Monroe picture hanging by my bed. It's about 4 feet by 2 feet framed.

She's just sitting and holding onto to her knees and women love it. They are always surprised I have something like that o.O

And you need to start building up your alcohol collection. I realized I was an adult when my alcohol wasn't running out by the end of the week...

Well, honestly, in my appartment what makes me feel like "home", is my alcohol collection in a glass cabin., and my sound system/tv/etc.
And i like to have nature wallpaper, on gloomy days you just look at the beatifull landscape and it actually helps alot!

Also, you could look into remote controlled power controller, when i stepped inside i would just press the "ON" button and everything would start up, music, tv, etc. It's pretty nice.

A nice wardrobe/coat hanger in the hallway, this is a MUST HAVE.

Not exactly what you were looking for, but if you like what i proposed you can find it yourself if you check at home stores and electronic store.

I like the Hue Lights for the living room, but I have LED music lights in several other rooms of my house. I got my coffee table and a few other furniture items from Woot. As for wall art, I really like panoramic or general photography from places I have lived. I live in Portland right now, and this gallery has some really good color, black/white, and panoramic photos of the area, bridges, and retro pictures.

thanks for the suggestions guys. i did not add liquor cabinet to that list but i have that covered pretty well atm. i have a family member who works at total wine and i get sick discounts so i have been stocking up on my hard liquors and usually a few brews in the fridge too.

I have seen it before NG but i love that globe that opens up to hold your liquors. very classy lol but would be a little out of place in my apartment. that belongs in balling ass rich dude's private study that is made up of rich mahogony leather bound books

A bookshelf. I think it says a lot about your character and it's just a cool thing to have. Otherwise you have it covered. Don't do that colorful wall art shit. Keep it black and white. My brother had a futon couch that could be made into a bed. Was comfortable and could be used for guests.
