That might be the reason for a lot of these shots, my detachable wrist rest on my keyboard broke so I was playing without it and it's awkward cause I have always used it so my fingers weren't exactly going where they were suppose to.

Should probably add a player or two to each team for the next cup.. I don't think my team played another team that had all six drafted players.. Or TPG could penalize the players that don't show up by not allowing them to play in future drafts. GGs!

There's limited space to get on the draft entry list.. Just don't sign up if you aren't sure if you can show =)

I have actually played in the last 3 or so but my team was knocked out in the first match as i rode the bench. The one time I show up late my team is in the finals without me. Thank god theres a ringers list and they used it fairly... I mean shit happens.

I think whoever played Spider's team was done wrong. I understand no one really cares that much but me, but we played with our 6 on our list. I understand that things come up and people have things to do. But Nunz was on for the final of the semi match in hltv, and also half of the finals vs. ViP.

Now, I understand that something may have come up but Alex kirk is many times better than Nunz. If we are going to do this again it should be a little more fair. Maybe someone as good as nunz, or the team needs approval from the opposing team to play?

Either way, neither team really wants to play again, so congrats to Spider and all your ringers.

agreed, I could have done something else tonight, but I made the commitment when I signed up. If you aren't going to show up, don't sign up in the first place, there are plenty others who would like to play. The penalize thing sounds like a good idea, make it so they can't play the next one or whatever

Penalizing noshows for future drafts is pretty important, as it discourages people signing up when they know they may not be able to play. I'd rather have people penalized than have to go back to the old system where 8 players get picked and 2 players get ignored. As trivial as it sounds, picking six person teams makes more sense, and it's reliant on having 6 show.

Although all the aforementioned stuff is important, I think it's also important for people to remember that we're talking about a giant 12man, so remember that none of this shit really matters (even by DoD standards), and don't get too bent out of shape by ringers. Shit happens.

I wish more of you guys thought like this. Austin just so happens to be a very good player, but it holds true to everyone. Guys are stepping in, taking time out of their life (insert I PWN IRL KTE here), but just own up to it. If you're too cool, be too cool. Just don't sign up for the draft. I personally don't like playing with lower level players (no offense), but I signed up for the ringers team in the off chance that I could play on cableguy or taylor's team, because they are friends of mine that are really fun to play with even if we lose **if it would have been a fair ringer trade**. That didn't happen. I turned down three other ringer "offers." Let's just try and keep these things fun and fair for those who really do care.

I like the idea in theory. The fact of the matter is that, unfortunately, the scene isn't what it used to be. We're (mostly) not 16-20 anymore, we're more like 22-27, and real life gets in the way. If you're more in charge of your schedule, that's awesome. But the fact of the matter is that the percentage of the guys still in high school/college can probably carve time out easily, it's a little harder for the other guys if work/personal stuff gets in the way. I think in an ideal world we'd have 7-player teams and just fucking own up if your 7th guy is there and don't get a ringer. I was contacted by literally half of the draft teams to "ring" tonight, and I feel like at least a couple of those teams had their 6th guy on. That's not cool. Don't ruin other peoples' fun to try and win a one day online tournament.

Aw, shit. Cat's out of the bag, when it comes to securing an online dod date. It's me. Beer and billiards? What's your game? I personally love 9-ball, but 8-ball never gets old. I can even arrange a meet&greet with CPL champions Dan "scorch-" Schey and Max "MaX-" Shapiro. And also local drunk Greg "coL.chaos" Conlon, but you really don't want to meet Greg. He sucks as much irl as he does in game.

I had a pretty fun time even though my team lost in the first round against Spider's team. It has been a while since I have played in a match that went back and forth on the cap outs and literally went down to the final minute. I think had the server registration been a little better though we would have won. There really isn't anyone to fault besides the registration. I also had some mucus build up on my eyes which was causing me to blink more than usual and a slight ache in my back from canoeing during the day.

I had fun, lost to fifty's team on a map i fucking hate with every inch of my being. I still dont get why a map used because we lack enough good maps was made one of the three for last night. Chemille/anzio/solitude.... Christ any other map played in reg season would have been better than lennon.

Im a terrible rifle, but ffs i can remember maybe three matches in my entire "career" that ive done well on lennon. I truly believe the maps horribleness and my horribleness share equal blame.

But really though, had a lot of fun playing with my team, that whole "i dont want to play with lower level people" bullshit though...... Dont sign up for an open for everyone draft then, continue playing in tpg-invite and you won't have to worry about it. I mean the point of these cup's is to have fun, not form 6-8 super pugs for a night. Really up until ringers started being used this was one of the more evenly distributed drafts. However i'm sure the next one will go back to invite captains, since that seemed to be a point of contention for people.

Anyways gg to naz's and fiftys teams, was fun, was only my 2nd cup but definitely the one i had more fun in. Mike, mike, evilyn, hilde and milo were fun to play with.

I honestly had a lot of fun, and each match was very good, especially the first one which came down to the last minute and Pat proning on our first flag for the win... For as much crap as people gave us you do not realize the entire situation. The team that I "drafted" I was happy with... up until a couple of hours before the match when warchyldd confirmed that he had to go into work, and nunz text messaged me saying that his trip was going longer than expected and was not going to be home. This also compounded the situation when I found out the team we were playing, quarter messaged me and said that hopper was being replaced with ao... Yeah I was crapping my pants a bit, but I struggled on.

I tried to get ringers lined up since Saturday, I got ko approved to play for warchyldd, but then he got whipped and went to dinner with his girlfriend (I hope you got some from that!) and then every other player I msgd was either already ringing for another team, was not responding, or could not play. At this point I was relegated to losing in the first round and prepared to #dealwitit, until I finally got a hold of kirk (Who is main and would play for nunz) and then seven (who is invite and replaced warchyldd), they were both confirmed on the ringers list, and at the same TPG level as the players they replaced. So if you think that I forced players NOT to play to allow for better players in their place then you obviously don't know who I am, nor do you know what I am all about, because as Hudson has pointed out before my fucks are in the neighborhood of zero regards to actually winning, which is why if you look at my past teams on TPG there is only one listed, I enjoy playing with cool people, simple enough.

Either way each match we all had a lot of fun, all enjoyed playing with eachother, and made surprisingly enough, DoD fun!! and that is why I was signed up for this in the first place.

Also be sure next time to "takeNotes"

We get it. You don't care.

Fact of the matter is, anyone that has picked a 12man team before can tell you that kirk > nunz & seven > warchyld. (i'm going to regret admitting this). Also, nunz was in the hltv apparently. =)

I'll save you the time of taking notes. Watch and learn~

I had a lot of fun too and I really thought we might pull out that Harrington match after we capped out twice in a row second half to pull ahead. Would have been cool to be the only team to not use a ringer and actually win. Either way, playing with travis, cable guy, will, watch, and even stamp was awesome (good drafting fifty :)) GG to spider and his team. Looking forward to the next one.

Watch and learn~

lol I was on hltv for the 5 minutes that I was able to be online. I had things to do and I really dont understand how 1 player can completely change the outcome of any matches. There is a ringer list for a reason and it was used properly. Every match was close so it is not like it completely over powered them.

Fortunately Devin, this game is equally broken for all of us.

And in case anyone was wondering...

Clearly just registration issues.
akiro wrote:Anyways gg to naz's and fiftys teams, was fun, was only my 2nd cup but definitely the one i had more fun in. Mike, mike, evilyn, hilde and milo were fun to play with.
GG Akiro your names were so frustrating. I never knew who was who.
showtime wrote: I had a lot of fun too and I really thought we might pull out that Harrington match after we capped out twice in a row second half to pull ahead. Would have been cool to be the only team to not use a ringer and actually win. Either way, playing with travis, cable guy, will, watch, and even stamp was awesome (good drafting fifty :)) GG to spider and his team. Looking forward to the next one.
Regardless of all the ringer drama, I had a ton of a fun. Basically had a fantasy dod draft, but then actually played the matches. So awesome! Watching Will and Cable tear up heavy side, getting carried by Watch, Tom and Stamp holding down their routes. 10/10 Would frag with again.

Also, Have to give a shoutout to Alex Kirk for giving me some pre-draft advice on my player rankings(Yes I actually cared enough to rank all the players 1-40).

Though Spider's team ended up a little stacked his first match could have gone either way. I watched the second half of the finals in hltv. It was fun watching good players duke it out and that match was close also. I don't sign up because I know I would put my team at a disadvantage. I see the point about ringers but Spider's explanation made sense. I give the tournament 9 out of 10 stars. I am Evilyn's heavy partner on p2o because I am an old man (53) who doesn't hit on her. She will be staying in my suite at the Hard Rock at the Vegas Lan. I must approve all suitors. I like weed, blow and pills.

Something is terribly wrong with that Quarter Server. Every Chicago I've ever played on has been perfect but that one just feels like I'm playing day of defeat source. Playing on a Dallas server that's across the Country is better than that server.

To the servers defense

there was a massive internet loss on the east coast

coming from Chicago area that affected the entire east Coast of the US

i noticed it because i lagged out so bad that i froze multiple times during our match

my friend told me about it after ......

All i know is that i ticked off the other team by keeping the train from being over run when i was on allies ......

first off, me over johnny is a no brainer. that fool is bad as fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk come at me johnny

2nd, how did your team not win simply by having you on the roster?? a seven and a kirk, just mere mortals in comparison to super hXc, would normally never be able to take down a team that boasts such a superstar with the star power to engulf entire planets whole.

Posting from the grave, brahs, after k4b00m and Pat alerted me that my official ban was overturned. This thread is 2funny.

We don't care about the KTEs people are making because, as Sp|der mentioned, we spent hours trying to round out six people. I messaged at least 4-5 people, and I know Sp|der messaged more prior to me stepping in to help. The team we ended up with, while appearing to be overly convenient on the surface given the skill level, was not remotely convenient to Sp|der or myself solely because of the time it took to find ringers who had not committed to other teams. It was a huge time suck for me and Sp|der, so I see nothing convenient about it.

And come on, don't selectively brag with some of your clips from the one side you did well on, from the match which you conveniently lost in...that's just silly!

I'd like to think I played well both halves of each match I participated in. Then again, I was playing with six drafted teammates trying to have fun. (hence the clips of me making miraculous caps as opposed to clips of me fragging) =)

Congrats on the W! You earned it.

My server was only used for my teams first match. After that it was my Hltv in Get Hits server which is owned by twist per skns teams request. i went afk after our match so they couldn't get a hold of me to switch back to my server. Even though i gave panel access and rcon to a few trusted people in the community. Mine runs @ 1,000 fps, pingboost 2 and is on its own VPS with nothing else running on the VPS.

We sure did, since we participated within the confines of the rules and won our matches fair and square. Thanks!

k4b00m should be working on our team movie any day now, so just hold tight folks.

You were underpass every time it was mainly your heavies who just walled me when I went near blue room. Congrats on the 30 bomb, though?

Irrelevant. You made a video complaining about registration. I simply responded to show, that in fact, registration wasn't the only issue.

Wow, I forgot to look at your guys scores, nice job. I thought we were pretty close, guess not.

Was very disappointed in losing the first match (someday, I'll win some kind of cup or anything). But, you guys played very well. Had tons of fun playing, I would definitely do another one.

Plus, it was a huge bonus to have the opportunity to play on the opposite side of where ever Watch Your Back was playing.

Good Game All.
