ddos?
So, tonight around 9:00 pm cst, FURY vent started to lag and everyone got around 10,000 ping, and eventually it crashed, during this time we were scriming IWA. The server started to skip to the point if you even moved you were rubberbanded back to where you were 4 seconds ago. It wasn't just one person getting this, it was all 12.

Apparently NFO servers have been down for every server.

Re: ddos?
NFO gets ddos attacked A LOT... That was about the only thing I hated about them. Chicago, and Dallas based servers get ddos sometimes once a week or more. A lot of your servers will be on the same tower unless you pay the $9.99 for higher cpu priority. Your better off going with the VPS they offer. I had better luck and beautiful registry when I was using that. Its about the cost of doing 1,000fps and higher cpu but at that point your running dual core and can also add a second server plus a vent without causing registry problems.

I can confirm that it was in-fact biggie.knockout wrote:I can verify this. #CaptureBiggiecableguy wrote:It was biggie.
After his TPG ban for crashing servers, he decided to expand his knowledge and instead of just crashing one server at a time, he got the idea of taking down all the servers at once. After countless hours and litres of soda, he had learned enough about ddosing and he waited for the right time to unleash his new talent.

[dd]ustin: what
ƒ| bigs: I went to get some soda and they didn't have enough to last me the night, I'm really mad and I think I'm going to take out all the NFO servers.
[dd]ustin: good luck.
The rest is history, I feel sorry for him when he gets arrested and finds out you don't get soda in jail.
Re: ddos?
In vent when I was 12manning someone said Aimtek was getting made fun of when the video of him cheating was released. He promptly replied that someone cut an onion in his room, set it on his computer desk, threatened that he was going to ddos all the vent servers, and then disconnected.
Half of that story may be true, which parts I am not certain, but that is what I can contribute to this mystery.

Can't tell if you are trolling or just really stupid.shoguNtw wrote:its fuckin dustin and/or biggie just ban these kids from everything dod
I'm leaning towards really stupid.
Edit: Just read super/legion in your past clans, confirmed stupid.
10 GigaBytes per second to take down a website.WikiLeaks said that the attack was well over 10GBps against its main domains and the bandwidth it was using was so huge, it was impossible to filter without specialised hardware. It also said that the range of IP addresses being used was "huge", and said: “Whoever is running it controls thousands of machines or is able to simulate them.
Brb, logging into my 5 thousand computers, with unlimited bandwidth to crash a bunch of video game servers.
