Normally I wouldn't post about a ban, but since the information is incorrect/not the whole truth, I will post what DBO said in vent to me, paintball, knugz, and blair this morning:

Game was about to start but Dbo's sound was messed up or not working or something...so before the Match started, he said he restarted DoD.

According to Paintball, he reminded Dbo to record his demo as soon as he came back into the server.

Match starts and dbo doesn't record until after 7 minutes pass.

1. It's not like he was recording, game crashed, rejoined the server and played. He left the server before the match started, reconnected and didn't record at all until 7 min after playing.
2. He was reminded to record as soon as he rejoined the server by his own teammate.

Right before the match started he crashed, came back did ss's right away, and it went live when he was still trying to fix shit. We did remind him but it was around the time he started recording. It is kinda harsh that it's playoffs and his team's gonna die because of this and it wasn't even a highball match.

2) 3 weeks seems fair considering this is the second time d-bo hasn't properly submitted his evidence. The first time the dispute got dismissed 'cause the other team disputing didn't fill in the dispute form properly.

Based on these statements, defiance is correct, you're lucky. Dbo should just facepalm and stay away from 1911, you have nothing to say to save face. Who the fuck remembers 7 minutes into the game, "Oh SHIT!!! I should start recording now". I like Dbo and don't think hes a bad guy. Annoying at sometimes, certainly is. No excuse for this Dan.

Well, seven of the nine dorks on their roster aren't banned, so i don't see why they won't be able to get six unless they intentionally FF. Would feel bad if this wasn't the same guy who was god awful when I first started playing dod again after a lengthy hiatus, proceeded to talk shit behind my back and try to convince my entire team that I was some random cheater even though they knew who I was, and then remained some 12 man all star until a team was desperate enough to pick him up.

Anyways, grudges aside, I agree this sort of sucks for hb but what about that old adage "rules are rules" and if tpg makes exceptions how is that fair to all of the others who weren't stupid were competent enough to record demos?

I'm guessing not many people have been part of the random pull. I got a random pull on Harrington last season dropping dual 40's (cleared) and was told it was something that actually happened quite often. At least more people will know about it now. TPG is always watching... Thanks Obama.
