TPG House Cup

TPG's sizzling night of dod returns on SUNDAY March 23rd. TPG is bringing back the House Cup for a full evening of great matches, the chance to play with new people, and for a lucky 6, the crown of the House Cup. Check out the details below but make sure to sign up soon to secure your spot.

It will be a one night tournament with a total of 8 teams. Please be prepared to play as few as 1 match and as many as 3 matches. There is no rescheduling! First round is at 9 pm est, Semis at 10, and Finals at 11. Each team will consist of 6 (SIX) members.

The first 48 players that sign up will be eligible for a team. If we reach 48 players, any additional players will be put on a ringers roster, and those will be the official ringers for the tournament. You cannot use a ringer if a team member is available, this is for fun, winning isn't everything. The minimum number needed is 48 players, if we don't reach it, the tournament will scrapped.

To sign up simply go to http://www.tpgleague.org/TPGCup/ and join the "Cup Entry" team. The password is "join" Please use your real handle when joining, add the last division played and add your first and second weapon class choice. (Example: Tin Bad - IM - Rifle/Heavy). SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN! Players that do not sign up with the required/propper information will just be REMOVED from the Entry Team.

We will also need 8 players who are willing to be captains. Captains should be near the same skill level and must be able to communicate effectively in English. Teams will be chosen in a draft format as long as there are 8 people in the same skill range who want to be captains. If not, the Admins and AC Team will just try and make the teams even. To be a captain email me (tinbad@tpgleague.org) or steam message me (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197963831480/) and I'll add you to the list. If you are chosen to be a captain, we will pick teams March 16/19th at night, around 1030 EST (if that doesn't work, we will try another night to pick teams).

Finals - railroad2_b2

This Tournament is open to all players except those currently suspended for cheating.

*TPG Rules apply. Demos and SS are necessary. Disputes will not be handled until after the tournament is over.

**Ringers roster password is "ringer". * The Ringer must be approved by the opposing team! This is to help stop teams from replacing their last picks with a top player.

DO NOT SIGN UP IF YOU CAN'T/MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY, YOU RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE. If you sign up and do not show, you will be ineligible to play in the next Cup. If you're not 100% sure if you will make it but would like to participate if you are available, you should join the ringers roster.

I have sad news for everyone. As the winning captain of the last two cups I've participated in, I will be unable to win a third time due to my Sunday commitments. I only hope a captain as good as me will rise to my level.

Last time VirusX signed up, and told he wasn't allowed to play, because his team wanted to use a ringer that was better than him so they could win.

Lets maybe have fun this time? and not act like winning the TPG Cup will somehow improve our lives ten-fold?

If that happens this time, the entire team (minus the player not allowed to play) will be suspended and will not be able to participate in the next cup. This is for fun people.

The truth is Tony, having only played in one cup, I'd like to have fun and enjoy myself. I wanna play with people that actually run their fucking route and know what they're doing. IE not you. It's not a popularity contest, I just think you're a shitty captain and threatening to pick a bad team on purpose just proves my point even further. Its as simple as that.

Now if you were an amazing captain during 12mans and showed any type of competence on picking a well distributed team, I'd have no issues with you being a captain. But since you can't pick a team to save your life, the issue remains.

I pick 12mans all the time and the teams are fine, but you wouldnt know that with your head in your ass. I often go against spider because it is even, and we both always pick really good teams. Now i really am going to pick you 100% so just go get your ball and go home and ask your momma to make you a grilled cheese sandwhich.

that is the reason i haven't played in any tpg cup's for a while ... the last 2 i was on i never played a single round ... and i know others who feel the same way as well ... there are people who want to play ... but know they will never play a round ... so why do we even try to enter ... so that is another reason i dont play dod or in TPG anymore ..... is that its all about popularity and who is doing who ... not who wants to play ...

I guess you missed the point. Its lame when someone goes out of there way to piss people off and purposely make sure they don't have a good time. Just throwing this out there for anyone, but I know for a fact that Sp|der has on multiple occasions given his child Benadryl so he can play a dod match. I hate to think of the neglect his child would incur if he had to play three matches in a night.
