The NFL Draft

Post by sevEN »

Hey guys. Now that the draft is over, i wanted to start a thread for all of you fans to share how you like or didn't like your draft picks. Also, just to discuss the first round in general.

As most of you know, i am a die hard vikings fan. I am absolutely ecstatic at how our draft turned out. We got Anthony Barr (OLB, UCLA) with the number 8 pick, and then traded back up into the bottom of the first to take Teddy Bridgewater (QB, Louisville) with the 32nd pick. QB and LB are the 2 biggest holes that we needed to fill.

Who do your team draft? Did you like the pick or not? What do you all think about Manziel @ #22 to the Browns?

Not really impressed by the Barr pick, but Bridgewater was really, really savvy right before the second round needs came up. Think the Browns did well with their movements as well. Jax was the biggest loser on day one with a QB that high.

Vikings had by far the best draft. They god ridiculous steals in both of their first two picks (imo)

I feel like the browns did a good job personally. They were very active in trading up and down. They got J Football at 22, which they only gave up a 3rd round pick for to get there. I think that's decent. They also got an extra 1st round pick next year from the Bills.

I think Manziel flinging the ball to Josh Gordon could be fun to watch. But yea, viking's have had the best draft so far.

looks like they changed it to a 4th rounder now...

my team decided to trade with Joeys' team. Continuing a new tradition of not drafting in the first round. But getting more picks is always a plus.

Yea I guess it was conditional, but it can become a 3rd.

Edit;

Jesus....Acquired for a meaningless 4th rounder in next season's draft, while the 49ers get a young, productive 1,000+ yard wideout born and raised in the City. What's even better? The Niners still maintain all 10 of their remaining draft picks to improve whatever needs to be addressed. Gotta love this if you're a Niner fan like me, WOOOOOOO! What a steal, what a genius Baalke is.

Anquan Boldin
Mike Crabtree
Stevie Johnson
Vernon Davis
Brandon Llyod

Stacked!!

It'll be interesting how they will rotate with those receivers... who will start at slot..etc

We just got a speedy WR to use for punt/kick returns opposite to harvin and a big o-lineman probably to use as a big run blocker since he is 6'5 300+

Steelers draft has been utterly PATHETIC. They refuse to acknowledge that the secondary is a problem. They are living in the past. Draft LBs and DL, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, hold em on defense BULL SHIT. It is a passing league now, yet they are still living in the 70s. Going to be hilariously sad when we go 6-10 this year, because Ben has no one to throw the ball too and we won't be able to stop a single pass.

it's not the player that bothers me, it is the fact that we got him at a horrible value. he was going in the mid selections of the first round on almost every mock draft leading up to yesterday. it would be risky but i think we could have traded to the 12-15 range and still gotten him. the next LB off the board was @ #15. but oh well. it's not like when we drafted ponder, where we not only reached but also grabbed a horrible player. i think barr will be a solid player on our defense for a while.

Was so worried that Jerry Jones was going to draft Johnny. Was even more confused when they drafted for their oline, since they were pretty solid up front. Need to solidify that historically bad defense, especially with Sean Lee out already.
