TPG Summer Cup

TPG's sizzling night of dod returns on SUNDAY August 24. TPG is bringing back the House Cup for a full evening of great matches, the chance to play with new people, and for a lucky 6, the crown of the House Cup. Check out the details below but make sure to sign up soon to secure your spot.

It will be a one night tournament with a total of 8 teams. Please be prepared to play as few as 1 match and as many as 3 matches. There is no rescheduling! First round is at 9 pm est, Semis at 10, and Finals at 11. Each team will consist of 6 (SIX) members.

The first 48 players that sign up will be eligible for a team. If we reach 48 players, any additional players will be put on a ringers roster, and those will be the official ringers for the tournament. You cannot use a ringer if a team member is available, this is for fun, winning isn't everything. The minimum number needed is 48 players, if we don't reach it, the tournament will scrapped.

To sign up simply go to http://www.tpgleague.org/TPGCup/ and join the "Cup Entry" team. The password is "join" Please use your real handle when joining, add the last division played and add your first and second weapon class choice. (Example: Milo - Upper - Heavy). SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN! Players that do not sign up with the required/proper information will just be REMOVED from the Entry Team.

We will also need 8 players who are willing to be captains. Captains should be near the same skill level and must be able to communicate effectively in English. Teams will be chosen in a draft format as long as there are 8 people in the same skill range who want to be captains. If not, the Admins and AC Team will just try and make the teams even. To be a captain steam message me (http://steamcommunity.com/id/wzrdd/) and I'll add you to the list. If you are chosen to be a captain, we will pick teams August 19 at night, around 9 EST (if that doesn't work, we will try another night to pick teams).

This Tournament is open to all players except those currently suspended for cheating.

*TPG Rules apply. Demos, SS, and running of the client are necessary. Disputes will not be handled until after the tournament is over.

**Ringers roster password is "ringer". * The Ringer must be approved by the opposing team! This is to help stop teams from replacing their last picks with a top player. However, teams/captains cannot reject ringers who are from a lower division than the player they are replacing without TPG Approval (Example: Taylor is currently registered on a lower team, and TPG will block him from ringing for a team that didn't have an open player show. If, for example, k4b00m doesn't show up, a team cannot say no to any of the lower level players from ringing without TPG Approval).

(incase anyone was wondering, I had something in my config that wasn't supposed to be there. I do not feel it gave me an "advantage", as supposedly it made me unhittable, though I died almost 100 times in the match. My team made it to the final and had to play aftershock in my place. I believe I have paid my debt to society.)

Also, milo, I'd like to appologize for going rogue on you, I realize the league gave me more than enough patience, and if I had something that wasn't supposed to be in my config, something had to be done, plain and simple. I appreciate the league at least going easy on me, considering I have a crystal clear record up to this point, and have done alot to try and keep this shitty/amazingly fun game alive. If I have to wait it out I still understand, and can't wait to get back in there and remind guys like Rob Van Winkle that it's not 2002 anymore.

I probably shouldnt captain though. The first time around, Crank and Pat purposely played shitty to spite me (unless you two really ARE that over-rated and shitty) And the second time around, only 1 player from my team showed up. So much for sportsmanship.

I have kidnapped and brainwashed over 100 small babies, and have them locked in a cabin up in the woods. I am brainwashing them to believe that DoD is the only game ever invented, and I only feed them when they get frags. They aren't that good yet but they are already better than most of you so, if you guys can hang on for 3/4 more years, we will have a descent sized community again.

Pretty sure its not just that other captains would spite you tony, but also anyone drafted by you would probably repeat the past and not show up(which in my opinion isn't out of spite, it's because they want to have fun, not listen to a bald queerbait never shut up in vent), and oh yeah you're still suspended and we all wish it was a permanent one.
