the holster is a Comp Tac Minotaur IWB holster. I'd recommend this holster for conceal carry or idpa

Why do you need conceal carry? Afraid the terrorists are going to target you first because of the DoD expertise? :D

well according to a study done in the 90s around 800k-2.5million crimes are prevented every year by lawful gun owners.

last numbers i can find for PHX police response time is 5-7minutes average time in response to priority 1 calles(rape, armed robbery, etc) so when you have a 30 seconds to live, cops are only... 5 minutes away.

better safe than sorry. I hope i never have to draw my weapon...let alone use it. But the fact is, people are robbed, assaulted, and murdered every day. I conceal carry to protect myself, my friends and family, and possibly other inoccent people...for example if i come upon a situation where a woman is being assaulted. It's not something you do to feel like a bad ass because you have a gun on you....like the wild west. it's just something to ensure your safety in a world where a lot of crime happens, and not everyone needs to carry a gun on them. it's a BIG responsibility and takes a lot of maturity.

Yea i get really pissed when i see or hear of people who obviously have no solid foundation of safety or thought in the use of there gun. They dont clear the weapon when someone hands them an "empty" gun, they point it in the direction of people, etc. Shit rages me so much :/

Ricky carries around a concealed sawed off shotgun.. Mainly because of all the brain bread he played.. He's prepared himself for the zombie apocalypse.

Well then he should know the best form of protection is a Winchester and propane tank.

I've been meaning to get my concealed carry for quite awhile now, but just haven't had the time. I also do not currently own any pistols that would viable to carry(I have a Sig p226 and a para 1911 .45, two full size military pistols). I will definitely have to go back to NY sometime within the next year and a half and get the concealed carry there though, because otherwise I won't be able to bring my weapons into the state when I move back there.

Popular doesn't always mean comfortable though haha. Also, I would prefer a weapon with a decocking mechanism (like my P226).

i personally dont want a decocker or a hammer on my carry gun. if its on the side under my shirt, that fucker best not be stabbin me. also, less things to snag on.

xd's are good pistols. I had a 3.8 xdm 9mm for my carry pistol...then i bought my glock 35 gen 4 and was like OMG i love glocks. they feel better in my hand, and i like the trigger on them....everything about the glock I liked more. Sig's dont really fit in my hand that well and neither do rugers. The next best pistol for me would probably be a smith and wesson M&P..those are great pistols

I picked up my para 1911 for about 400 used at a gunshow (only 50 rds put through it). Came with all original accessories and the lifetime warranty (the card hadn't even been filled out yet). I've shot some glocks before...I prefer the feel of military pistols like my sig. They are definitely bigger weapons though so they are not for everyone.

yea, that is a nice looking 1911.

i would probably just get a bare GI version of one honestly, i wont shoot it as much as i would my 9mm, ammo costs suck.

I do kinda miss my cz 40p, but i didnt like shooting the .40 from that pistol. it was just to snappy for my liking.

the Steyr m40-a1 however, fucking amazing to shoot a .40 from.

Be careful with the Para's. I had one of their LDAs a few years ago and the trigger mechanism went to shit. I had to send it back to the factory to get it repaired. Their response was "Hold it tighter, its your fault it broke". I'm guessing they meant I wasn't gripping on the dovetail part of the safety mechanism tight enough; and I call bullshit. Not to mention, the top slide rocked back and forth. If you have a way earlier model, you should be fine. Needless to say, I sold mine at the gunshow for $425, after paying around $700 for it, and bought me a Kimber Pro Carry II.
