The team that built DoD has no interest in 'fixing' it for competitive players, unfortunately. They purposely reduced the accuracy and increased the recoil of guns to make it more pub friendly and their basic attitude back when people actually complained about it was "if you want a skill game with accurate guns go play quake." :roll:

Well, the sad reality in "e-sports" is that the VAST MAJORITY of game developers, be they the actual programmers, artists, or producers, aren't competitive gamers at all. More often than not, they are super pub-star type players at best. I don't think a lot of people realize that. Especially for a game like DoD, as it was originally developed by a rag-tag group of pubbers that were also WW2 nerds.

CS:GO is really the first time EVER that a game producer has attempted to create a game from the bottom up that was meant to be optimized for competitive play. We'll see how that works out...
