ok nerds, I have two beta keys that are good for 30 days if anyone wants to try the game out.

Here's a video of the last tournament. It's not like quake where you have to time items and shit... you just run around and frag hard.

Mogers, Mexicant, scorch, porNy, darkrabbi, myself and some randy johnson named btootz all play pretty much every night. I'm sure mogers and mexicant also have beta keys to give out.

I would, but I think i would end up nerd raging to a maximum because of my ping.. It works in dod but is horrible when I try to play quake or cs.
Might buy it later on just because I'm stupid like that.

So, I'll try to give a good idea of how the game works with high ping. Granted I only play with like 85-90 ping most of the time, but we used to pub on french servers and it was doable.

What works with high ping:
weapons. The lag compensation ("netcode") is great in this game. Even with 200+ ping, if you're aiming at a person, you'll hit them. This is NOT like quake at all... You do not need to lead people by your ping to hit them. Just point at their midsection and shoot.

What doesn't work with high ping:
Movement. There's a lot of hilly areas that are terrible (the client doesn't give you a good idea of where the server thinks you are, and the acceleration is based on that so you end up moving pretty horribly with high ping). You also can't see rockets fired at you until the delay, so in mid-range rocket battles you'll probably find yourself getting hit by rockets that appeared too close to be dodged.

With anything under ~120 ping, the game plays well.

Ok, thanks for explaining. I have 100mb internet now so I guess I can play the game very well as long as it's new york servers. If anyone want to give me a key please message me on 1911 and not steam.
