Dirty Bomb Beta (Extraction)

Anyone else have a beta key? I just got mine yesterday and started to play today. So far it's pretty fun but I had to find some custom configs to play. Haven't unlocked much but i've seen other players with upgrades, the gameplay can be random at times but once your team groups up its fun to push the objective.

As for the configs, a lot of people have different results but my game felt choppy and the mouse was floaty so it was hard to aim. A lot of the texture settings you have to manually change and it will up your fps or smooth out your mouse. You may get 120+ fps in an empty server but depending on setup, it'll drop to 15fps in a 6v6 so people have tweaked a lot.

Not sure how to add anyone on Nexon and such yet but my names the same, Red--- so....yea anyone else playing it yet?

I played the alpha for a few days. It didn't seem too awful for an alpha and probably has some potential. The only thing I'm worried about is how they approach their f2p model.

I'm downloading the beta now to see what's changed!

it really depends on what kind of game you like...

do you like arena type deathmatch games? ice skating, very low movement penalty, zero recoil? this is for you.

i found it to be a bunch of kids holding mouse 1, and spamming their strafe keys...repeat until bored. I will pass.

are all the guns "hit scan" with no recoil? or are we talking like quake rocket launcher projectile aim with no recoil?

Yes I do see this, as you might with a lot of newbies playing a lot of games. But I wouldn't call it trash just yet.

There is a lot of movement and wall jumps but you can't run while shooting, you can't run and strafe, you can't bunny hop all over the map. There is some recoil and though a few of the guns do feel the same its not just point and click. If anything the pistols have more recoil than the assault rifles.

I wouldn't say arena death match either but theres only 3 maps out and i've played two for only two days. There are clear objectives to win and get points/xp. Some games you get kids running around like idiots dying, others you get an actual team with mics and a understanding of what class to play. Having the right team setup with medics and ammo supply make it fun.

We can't compare it to dod, and i'm not saying it's an amazing game. This is BETA and I'm trying to give it a chance, maybe with enough feedback we can shape this into something more people will play. Or it will suck, die and we'll all be stuck playing dota2 and LOL....yay

other classes.
some classes have nades, turrets, air strikes. others have med kits, revive things and ammo kits. you have to rely on your teammates to pass ammo/health around if you're pure damage.

also you should of started with 20k points. each class cost 1k to unlock so go at it, find an empty server and test them out.

and i hate to repeat myself, but look into a config. the game felt like shit my first time. The beta forums are stupid hard to find on google and such. http://forums.nexon.net/extraction

ugh, so I have to rely on some random johnny pubnub if I want more than 2 measly clips? doesn't seem like the best game mechanic

actually the game seemed to run very smoothly but I'll check out a config if I play some more
