so taylor, i was blatantly cheating in a draft match on harrington while i rang for you? and as you put it "tracing people through walls" ? would expect someone i've played against on multiple times online AND lan to not be as big of an idiot as yourself, but unfortunately i was wrong about that one.

edit: and unfortunately its because of people like you that are making me seriously reconsider even playing anymore. you suck the fun out of it when all i hear is how blatant i am. my play style is the exact same, we can post demos from this season and demos from ky lan and watch them right next to eachother and the only difference you'll see is me not taking as many risky shots. it was funny for the first season, and now going on i dont even know how many seasons listening to it it's doing nothing but annoying me and making me not even want to bother playing or helping the community anymore at all.

We lost by like 10 first half then got 2 quick caps allied side.. There's no need to keep pushing to try and cap you hold at that point.. Its called playing smart while you're ahead... There is no need to "push" mid.. Once you have the lead.. I thought the match was intense and fun.. Only "gay" play I saw or encountered was milo proning here and there and lurking in sewers..

when you have one person covering mid and 3 guys rushing him (you often rushed from the stairs and rope ladder at the same time).. of course he's going to play pretty defensively. if corey had to do that, it's probably because I was choosing to run around and play like a retard for frags, such as quite a few of your teammates do in scrims/matches I've played in/watched. the only time I play these days is when a starter and bencher (dyelife) can't make it, which isn't often, and still it's easy to keep up with your team. it's easy for teams like coL and thunder to continually dominate when most other teams consist mostly of players who run around looking for frags individually rather than work with each other.

out of all the matches ive played with flawless we really didnt try for any retarded frags , or atleast i didnt. from my perspective in vent , that was the hardest we tried to act as a team ever.

large difference between trying to play as a team, and actually playing as a team. you need role players to play as a team successfully. someone needs to be the bitch and play the gay spots and the hard to hold areas well(even if that means proning and playing really gay). thunder knows this, and has that willingness to do it that most(all) teams these days just dont have.

playing a game for that long at higher levels kinda leads naturally to that play style as well. its easy to figure it out when everyone knows how the other plays. its the same with every comp game played in team play, you always need that 1 person willing to sacrifice there entire score to get the rest of the team kills and points and hold the hard to handle spots with enough skill to mean you win after they die even without killing anyone.

hiding in mid house is not playing "defensively".. it's just hiding.. also, other teams have team work, but they don't have the experience in a 6 man roster than thunder does.

EDIT: also another reason thunder should have tried having two teams.. it's obvious every season that they're going to win lol.. (unless austin, joey, and i are on a team together)

i think this is all really hilarious. it was a good match and suddenly because taylor couldn't win after practicing for 3 weeks it was the end of the world. youve played me on harrington enough times and seen me play on harrington enough times to know i will almost always go into mid house on allies and hide if our team starts dying. people in 12man even check it, even idiots like tilljim check it, and you guys didnt twice and it cost you two mid caps. learn from it. first half i was raping you. i saved us from being capped on by "hiding and playing gay" and your team even knew where i was and i STILL hit both shots on both guys looking at me. thats called skill. you can hide all you want but when it comes down to the clutch shot in those situations its about not missing it.

i was responding to greetz saying that you guys where trying very hard with the teamwork aspect, and yea.. if your insulting his play because he shit on you guys while "playing gay" then obviously your teamwork wasnt up to par. jaggons post reiterates it perfectly, hes always in mid house. hell i know that and i rarely touch dod. you guys not working correctly as a team is what enables him to do that in matches and get away with it over and over.

so yea, you got beat because they worked better as a team. i dont see why you guys are so upset over that, it happens.

Playing as mid-parter with Corey on harrytown with moi in the draft was easily the best mid-parter I have had since Tommy "Showtime" Murray's random ass with nwP. He plays very smart and communicates well.

i don't think shooting people in the back is necessarily "shitting on people". it's not like he was just in the right place at the right time to break mid.. we would literally kill 3 of his team mates in mid, and before we would even kill all of those players there would already be another player in mid house baiting all of them, hiding, and not making a sound lol.. and there isn't much you can do when the player finds a new spot to hide every single time.

Here, since the game is dead and I don't play it, I'll throw you a clue.

You don't have to kill anyone to make hiding in the mid-house effective. That map is so small that just staying alive and forcing the other team to run in to the house to kill you gives your teammates enough time to respawn and chuck a grenade into the cap zone. This is a good way to take advantage of teams that don't know how to play the map and try to cap middle.

You're playing the map wrong if capping middle is an important part of your strategy.

i mean i've only been playing dod for like 6 years now but every time i've played harrington, middle has been the most important aspect/area of the map.

Scorch is trying to say that you don't have to cap mid as soon as you get there... or as soon as the guys in mid are dead, you can just wait it out and go for the best opportunity.

Harrington isn't all about going for mid first and capping it first to win. Honestly the best strategy is pushing long and pushing mountain and taking those two lanes to hold the allies and axis back at their re-spawns. If you do that you can cap mid without having to worry about someone breaking the cap at all.

The difference between 1st and 2nd places are the little things like Corey did. You don't just peak and take 1 kill only to die right after, you let the two little mice walk into the trap and right when they think they have the cheese you catch them in their own flaws; like not checking your hiding spot or noticing that they didn't kill the other person who plays mid within the last 10 seconds. Just watch any complexity or check-six demo and compare it to Highball. Highball was great and they were the trend setters of their time but later comes x6 and coL who know what it takes to win and sometimes that is hiding in the fucking mid house.

yea i completely understand that play style when it's x6 vs coL.. but it's 2011 and it's thunder vs flawless lol. it's not like we just ran into the mid cap thinking we were invincible.. we literally killed 3 people in mid quickly, jumped on the cap (because normally when you kill 3 people mid it's an opportunity to cap mid), and there would be someone baiting all of them and hiding somewhere in mid house/under ladder/in upper connector to break the cap haha.. it just wasn't fun, but congrats :D

okay? well when you're down 70 points in the 2nd half with 7 minutes left you need to cap out, correct? correct me if i am wrong, but i don't think you can cap out with out capping middle..

I think that mid is the most important, but that the biggest part of capping and holding mid is ladder control. Doing better than the opposition going mid can be wiped out by constant ladder pushes from the other team's heavies if your mountain team isn't getting the job done. Yes, I am speaking from experience!
