It's about time we get another 10-page thread on nutrition/training.

Waiting for duality to talk about his 7-day split where each day he hits a single muscle group.

You guys need to stop hating on the safety and effectiveness of CrossFit and its training for "functional strength." This video should convince you of CrossFit's efficacy.

Re: Isn't this lifetime ban worthy?
Wow that just is painful to watch. How do people watch those videos and think "hey, that's strength"? They all look out of control and if they were actually lifting heavy weights they would just fall over because their angles are all wrong. I don't even lift or really know proper form for that lift, but it should be criminal teaching people to lift like that. Do people not get terrible injuries doing that shit?alex kirk wrote:You guys need to stop hating on the safety and effectiveness of CrossFit and its training for "functional strength." Makes you wonder what the hell "CrossFit certified" means. All I can think when I see that video is, "good night, sweet spinal cord."scorch- wrote:Wow that just is painful to watch. I imagine the reason they don't get injuries is because it's not heavy weight. They are using bumper weights, so it looks like a lot, but I'll bet those girls aren't doing more than ~40-50 pounds. Of course the problem comes into play when they want to up the weight, as progressive loading is what determines gains in strength and hypertrophy. That's when they'll be fucked, assuming they keep doing that.

Re: Isn't this lifetime ban worthy?
None of these people should be attempting any of this...
Why the fuck are they having them start in reverse grip only to do their version of "clean and jerk". Is that supposed to be an extra "challenge" to "shock their systems". What a fucking joke.
This is just so embarrassing that this shit is getting so popular. I get asked so often "bro do you crossfit?".
Thanks alex, my jimmies are now sufficiently rustled.

Re: Isn't this lifetime ban worthy?
CrossFit increases work capacity across broad time and modal domains. This is a discovery of great import and has come to motivate our programming and refocus our efforts. This far-reaching increase in work capacity supports our initially stated aims of building a broad, general, and inclusive fitness program.Sears wrote:None of these people should be attempting any of this...
