How do I ping less to Toronto than you? YOU LIVE IN TORONTO. Are you on wireless? all those tests were done on wireless, the ping for each would be less if I was connected directly to the modem.

So, I'm told I'm skipping a little less than I was before, but it's possible that the internet was fine during those few moments. I was just testing what you said a second ago before I checked here and I'm a little confused. Here's my latest PingPlotter 10-minute result directly connected to the modem:lolinus wrote:What's the ping to your router/modem? If the ping to router/modem is low and stable(should be below 10 ms) then It's on their side, could be anything between the cable to your building to a random cable below the street somewere or the router your line is connected to.
start>cmd>ping *routerip* -t
Let it send about 15 before stopping it( ctrl c).

Code: Select all
Ping statistics for 192.168.100.1:
Packets: Sent = 20, Received = 20, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 1ms, Average = 0ms

What about the thread when I died?!joeledmunds wrote:This is the most boring thread I've ever seen.
It's additive. If you see the ping not go from lowest to highest when you do a tracert like this, it means you're seeing spikes in latency at some hop closer to you than or at the hop where the spike shows up in the trace. e.g. in the latest screenshot, you experienced a latency spike somewhere between you and the 144.232.9.67 node (inclusive).aLpha.cn-[tang] wrote:I'm not sure how much the first hop affects the ping of the subsequent hops, so I don't want to go too far down the list for no reason.

lololololol. Sadly, there's nothing to deliver. The techs thought it could be something to do with the frequency, but there connection is still really unstable after they tried changing that. They said the line is fine from their end to the apartment cable box. It's also fine at the wall outlets. They said it might be the line from the cable box to the apartment, but this problem only started recently and I've lived here for almost three years. No solution yet.Sears wrote:rehpyc wrote:moosh wrote:Op still hasn't delivered.

Yeah, we used to play Diablo2 religiously for a while until a couple years back. I mostly just talk to him on AIM. I don't see him too often on Steam and I think his Facebook profile picture is of a white guy he found while googling his name. He goes to CAL though and I had lunch a couple times with him.stile wrote:you still talk to netro? wtfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
